We should have a pretty good shot, as long as we keep "winning" the off season championship.

Our schedule looks like an absolute cake walk. Probably have to win the conference championship unless they change the 6+6 model since the PAC12 is gone.

The current model means the top 6 ranked conference champions make it in.. meaning all power 4 conferences plus probably the AAC champion + another G5. This year you’d probably see 2 of Tulane, Toledo, and Liberty in the playoff under the current model.

Unlikely that the runner up in the ACC gets one of the next 6 at large spots unless we run the table and then lose the ACCCG. Not much wiggle room. B1G and SEC will get in 2-3 loss teams ahead of a 1 loss Miami with our schedule.

By 2029 it’ll be a 20 team playoff and we’ll be rolling . The window was always 8 years

Not officially so I wasn't 100% correct but no way do I see them sticking with 6 now that the conferences have changed

Well, since you reminded me that Mario got rid of those God awful trinkets, I'm willing to give him another year. I have no hopes of finishing in the top 12, even if we are a top 12 team, but at least we don't have to look like clowns when we put on TD rings after we score a late TD to only lose by 20 instead of 27.

Rings were dumb. The original chain was pretty cool. But even better is a coach that knows what they're doing.
