Anyone care to elaborate?

His Dad said awhile ago that these kids want to have a plan incase Golden isn't here.

Please explain to me why these kids (Shaquille, Sam) are committed to Golden and not the University of Miami. Have they not seen Al coach or his record last year? Are you saying if Al gets fired and goes to coach Illinois these kids are going to follow Al, even if we were to get a Butch, a schiano, kiffen or anyone else who is better than Al, they would leave because of their commitment to Al and not the University of Miami? Is Al that good of a salesman ( I certainly hope not).

Well lets say they wouldnt like the new hire, its always good to have back up plans especially when it comes to your future

I understand that but the quote I was replying to was the kids want have a plan incase Al isn't here and as I said I understand that, but if we hired a better coach, they would still leave? What if we hired Gary Patterson from TCU, who's is head and shoulders above Al, they still want to leave? I would have to highly doubt they would for their devotion to Golden.

It's pretty hard to be committed to the University no matter what when all they've done is hire the wrong guys since 2001, and have shown no sign of being willing to pay to keep a HC when we actually have a good one like Butch.

I'll add that Shaq probably really LOVES the scheme here too, despite what we all prefer. Its designed to filter things to him to make plays..he gets to really show his skillset and be a high NFL draft pick.
