I can see what they saying as I always wish I had some wok-fried cat chow-mein from an urban "Chinese" take-out place or some deli bacon and eggs served to me by a hepatitis-ravaged Dominican when I sit down to feast on my fresh caught stone crab with garlic butter, grilled keys lobster, fried grouper, steamed Gulf Pink Shrimp, lemon-garlic beach caught pompano from Hollywood, baked dolphin, or slow roasted feral hog from WPB with mojo.

Ok.

There’s a Chinese place near my hood (Kendall) ran by NYC transplants. It’s called Silver Palace and it’s been there for over 30 years. I went on a Sunday to get some takeout and the place was FILLED with Chinos speaking Chinese. IDK about you but when you see people from the same ethnicity the cuisine is from, coming to get their grub on, that’s when you know shít’s legit af.

Back in 1995 I went with a student group to China for 3 weeks. The biggest shock was the food. NOTHING at all like the take out I grew up on in NY.

The last dinner we were served was tofu cubes suspended in a cows blood gelatin. Needless to say no one ate it. Imagine serving that to a bunch of 12 to 15 year old American kids these days.

Uh almost 90% of slices are less than $4

Joe's is also good

The problem with some of the places in brooklyn is they only serve whole pies
