NEW UNI SNEAK PEEK

You can't reference USC and Bama and compare them to Miami. Their "tradition" runs a lot deeper than Miami football does. The look they have now is from the 40s 50s and 60s. Miami didn't even have a relevant football team until the 80s. If we go back and wear our old school unis we would be in the gold and green with the hurricane warning flag on the side of the helmet.

We don't have to go back to the 50s and 60s we have a tradition that was built in the 80s and 90s and 00. Our whole identity that we built has been forgotten and now you want me to celebrate this crap that Adidas puts on us. **** no.

What exactly did you think Nike was doing here and has been doing since this point?

What about the Adidas jersey makes other people happy?

I was never a big fan of when Nike started their meddling to constantly change things. That was the beginning of the end.

We signed the Nike deal in 1987. It was a good deal. Our jerseys looked fine and I thought in 2001-2002 we looked our very best,

but then...for some reason some crazy sh*t started to happen where

We stopped looking like us and started looking like somebody else, and I am sick of it.

it was on the field, ur just associating the uniforms with the play, thats why our next great unis will be the ones we win big in

btw, the photoshop on this photo is fantastic. I truly believed he had a clown nose. Mind. Blown.

That's funny because I never thought that ugly *** jerseys that were Photo shopped by some Adidas design school reject would ever be our actual official look.
Welp, that's it. You're displeased in the uniform, guess they're shutting down the unveiling tonight, gunna go back to the factory and do all they can to make YOU happy. Oh wait, no they won't, because your long *** rant about a JERSEY don't mean **** to them. So calm the **** down, shut the **** up, and deal with it. ITS. A. JERSEY. That's all, move on with your life, or like others said, go cheer on Bama or USC. Certainly don't need a fashion expert in the stands constantly scoffing at every play because 'those jerseys are just so ugly'

Here's the last National Champions.

2001 uniforms looked like hurricanes on the field. It's gotten to a point now where I sometimes don't recognize my own team and school on the field. Oregon didn't start their flashy crap because of Phil Knight until around 2002.

Once they started doing that people took notice, and that's what THEY had to do because they were nobodies and had to do stuff to stand out.

Then everyone else got suckered in to doing it..including us later.

Alternate weirdo jerseys are what loser teams do to make themselves standout. I never though of us as a loser program, but I guess we are now.

its the play man, not the uniforms

Not a big fan of these unis with so much pattern....but still an upgrade over the Nike bra strap debacle.

The 2001 unis are my favorites. I still have my Dorsey jersey. I agree that you have to change with the times, especially with how materialistic and image conscious these kids are today, but that can be done through alternates while keeping the traditional unis in the mix.

So people here are hating the jerseys because other teams that won have traditional jerseys? So what the jerseys are is going to make us win and lose, yea we aint winning because we are wearing addidas smh

This thread is pure comedy. Btw, Miami has never been one for tradition. Even the U logo is relatively new. We were Oregon before they were Oregon. They just took it to way higher levels. We don't have a traditional look. We've always played in a pro stadium (yes the OB was originally a pro stadium). Our band is a laughing stock.

As for my opinion: that pattern looks retarded, though I like the brighter orange. It pays homage to the old days. The gloves look pretty sweet. The numbers look cheap. I'm not sure how I feel about Miami being printed on the front. It's simple, but thats a matter of preference I guess. As of right now, I like last year's better, though I always ******* HATED that stupid clam looking thing. That ******* clam represents the disposing of Sebatian and his pipe. RIP pipe. ******* PC garbage.

Like the color, don't mind the Miami script although I think i'd prefer to not have it. I hate the checker pattern on the jersey though. Adidas needs to stop playing it like it's some technological advancement when elastic material has been around for a long *** time. "It keeps the players cool while stretching....blah, blah, blah". If this was any type of competitive advantage, you'd see it more throughout college football and you'd certainly see it in the NFL. I think it's a gimmick and looks pretty terrible.

...All that said, just f'ing win.

First of all, the OB was NOT originally a pro stadium. I'm pretty sure the OB was used for Canes and High School games. Then the Dolphins came in later. Second of all, during the 80's Miami establish one of those most iconical logos in sports and a Orange/White uniform design with Green sprinkled in. Their image was established; furthermore, it created a rich tradition for the program throughout those years. To say Miami had no tradition is idiotic and ridiculous. Wearing different helmets and black uniforms is going away from the program's core values. It's amateur hour for programs like Oregon that have no identity or a brand.
