New tight end coach Mike Viti

Obviously, a nice cultural fit. He won’t be afraid of long hours or the grind. And if an opposing staff or coach mouths off post-game, he’ll kick some ***.

Smells like VICTORY.

I personally believe that tight end coaching can’t possibly be worse than it was last year so the bar is low. My only beef with Viti is that for all the success his lines had at Army, the flex bone blocking scheme is nowhere even close to similar to what we do here. It’s like hiring a really successful Air Raid OC to come coach running backs in a pro style system. It could work just fine but the coach’s prior success has almost no impact on his current job.

Given his experience on coaching linemen who are almost always moving, maybe our TE wham blocking will significantly improve.

Viti will be a great coach.
The logo recruits and so does our HC, maybe that's why I'm not as worried as some on here.
Yeah, anyone worried just isn't reading or understanding who this guy is. Again, this man is a legit SUPERHERO where I am from. Like people here have this guy or that guy that played in the league where they are from. Well this is my areas guy. He was a HS football legend at a multiple state/national title winning program. This guy understands winning. When you're considered the toughest guy in the coal region of Northeast PA, you don't get that by accident. He's as good a hire as we've ever made in my decades as a Miami fan. I could not be more proud to be a Miami fan with having Mike on staff. Absolute slam dunk hire x 1000. I
