new stadium will make this complete

The reason people showed up to the gator game it was Utah. If they were 2-3 and that was game 5 no one would be there. It's the same with most colleges.

I had this argument with a buddy (not a Miami hater, but rags on the fanbase...he roots UM over FSU and UF so he's alright). He sent a screenshot of the televised cameras and of an empty section laughing. First of all, it was the visitors section in the sun, but regardless. Mentioned UFs crowd ... And I said ***** that was a top 10 game one matchup compared to a glorified HS team. Apples to oranges. When UF and FSU are mediocre their stadiums are empty as well sans big games.

even so, if we going all in as we appear to be, lets have those optics as well ... we always seem to have an excuse for why it looks so empty, let's cut that excuse as well, just as are dressing other deficiencies ... outside of a few night games vs notre dame, va tech ... can't think of too many electric atmospheres like that

Their were empty seats at Arkansas Cinci. Ranked opp. We had a great turn out for BCC. We need to get consistent to bring the fans back. If a ranked team come into town at night we gonna give them **** at Hard Rock. Book it. Btw they said something when ND played Ohio. Ohio is like 1-5 or something such in their last games v ranked OOC opponents. That's 100k. Miami fans are as rabid has any, just not have anything to be rabid about. It's not excuse but 100k go the Big House and it's quiet af any given 12 PM game

Tarp the top, pack mid/lower. Even lower attendance games would feel more "electric".

Build our own stadium

I'm old enough to remember going to Temple and Rutgers games in the OB in 2000 - 2002 and to games against Wisconsin and Missouri when they were God awful during the magical run of the late 80's and early '90's and there were fewer fans at those games in the OB during the NC years than were at the BCC game yesterday.

Look, you can't compare Miami to big state schools. It's a fool's errand. Those are huge public institutions often 3-4 times the size of the Miami student body. They have a fan base over an entire state while Miami has a fanbase of 3 counties basically (and even that is split with Florida and FSU). Add to that there are 4 major league sports down here to divide up the recreation dollar and there are no BCC games in the NFL, MLB, NBA, or NHL.

The Gates will ALWAYS win attendance, and good for them. They can have it. I'd rather be a Cane fan and watch our team kick their a$$e$ all over the field. Just keep winning Canes and attendance will get better and better for all games. But, no matter what, they won't sell out what amounts to basically exhibition games against the BCCs of the world.

I’m looking forward to this thread

I know the crowd size has never really been talked about so there’s going to be a ton of new info in here

gimme 40-50k ... watch the gayts and those fans played a large part in their win ... we get that with a discipline and aggressive brand of football, its a wrap
So basically you want the equivalent of the bounce house at UCF. :snoopfacepalm:
