We’ve given him pure dogs to train and it’s a beautiful relationship
He appears visually….quite different from Gus felder
Yup. I wasn't a huge Feld fan, but to omit him from credit is short-sighted. This new guy has been on board for not too long. Feld had a huge role in getting these guys right. Those fans are insane.
Feld worked through the offseason and then left right before Fall camp started. So obviously he had *nothing* to do with the strength and conditioning all these players!
I think it's called more quality depth = less reps for everyone and less tired bodies getting injuredMore props to our S.C. coach
We look much bigger faster stronger after the mustache guy left
Also less odd soft tissue injuries
Whatever he’s doing major props
Kyle Bellamy is now the director of nutrition. He is home grown in terms of his bachelor and I believe master’s degrees coming from Miami. The concern for me was he basically had to “create” that position for himself! He literally told Mark Richt that he noticed the football program didn’t have an exclusive nutrition program at all (muscle milk days) and he would like to take over if possible. Richt agreed and Bellamy started the program from scratch 2016-17ish. Mario came and hired other support staff and Bellamy is now an overseer rather than the lone guy running a lemonade stand. We have come a long way my friends.Yeah honestly there’s not many secrets to S&C but some people are just a lot better at connecting to their “clients”
I’ve been saying it for years here though especially under Manny. We were recruiting soft *** football players and many of them don’t come from an S&C background so it’s like trying to teach something to someone new while they also have no desire to learn
I’d say the overall investment of the program to nutrition is likely a huge help as well but I haven’t seen it up close to be sure of that
We used to send kids to papa John’s and give them muscle milk and call it a day
