new running plays?

of course, there is a finite number of run plays but the variations are the key. I like Dawson but this is very disengious by him.
what burns my *** is that the reporters sitting there either know he's been disingenuous or don't know he's being disingenuous. not sure which is worse, but someone should have pushed back on Dawson. he got chippy again and someone needs to sit him down and hold him accountable to the fandom that pays his salary and his regular outings to Whip & Dip on Sunset (the other closed, so I am told) where he meets @rsa coral gables there from time to time and where @rsa coral gables doesn't say anything too bad since Dawson is there with wifey and daugthers.

i can agree that there weren't many bunch sets ... but there also wasn't anything new ... i've seen each of our backs get similar play calls ...
Its more than that, maybe they call something outside but we were doing it MORE and its MORE effective.. Manny on podcast said runs C gap and beyond were 22 carries for 130 yards.. That is great production and this is what people were asking for instead of hammering the A gap for minimal gain. He knows that too.

It’s obvious he can’t stand Sperman and when he asks questions, he gives him smart *** answers and something just to make him look like the moron he is.

Quite frankly it’s only Ferman he gets chippy with because it’s obvious he can’t stand him because he’s a moron.

He can also run through smaller gaps that our big backs can't. Pair that with quick feet, and he makes the oline look a lot better.
It’s called patience, he lets lineman set up their blocks, cuts and goes. It also didn’t hurt that we played two teams that haven’t been very good stopping the run.

My issues with Lyle and to an extent fletcher is they just blast into the back of the lineman and don’t give the play a chance to develop before hitting the hole.

there's this narrative that pringle's success was due to new plays ... and i don't see it ... yeah we pulled a few linemen (play everyone is referring to is at the 1:30 mark) on a play or two, but we been doing that since florida ... pringle just has a burst that the other guys don't have along with an ability to make people miss

Vision too

Some better run design+ better running+ less presnap penalties+ NCSU secondary sucking at run fills+ NCSU DL being small and undisciplined= Success!

Great Success Win GIF

We weren't hammering the A Gap - the A Gap was hammering Us!

I can't recall watching a season long practice of stupidity.

Usually corrected at the first half-time.

Pringle is getting too much credit IMO. There were actually holes man. If Fletcher, Lyle, and Brown were all struggling for 4 games and then we have a couple games where we do actually run it well, maybe just maybe it wasn't the RB's fault. Pringle is good and I'm very impressed, but lets not act like we didn't see way more running room the last game and a half. Pringle isn't Barry Sanders and the others aren't Joe Yearby. Pringle has earned the reps until proven otherwise, but the difference here is not as extreme as it seems IMO.

Yes, Dawson is calling it the "a- valley" to confuse and add wrinkles to The O.

See how that is different than your standard "A Gap"?

Every play we called has been called before from a run position. He's not wrong.

But he changed the formation, he added motion, he changed tendency, and he changed the % split of pin and pull vs inside zone. It started in the smu game.

It all **** this board called out. Don't let dawson gaslight you.

Pringles style helps a small amount

Pringle fits a zone block scheme very well. His style translates as he cuts and accelerates north and south quickly into the hole. Very good top end speed too. It's a good match to that scheme.
Pringle is like a point guard, that gets downhill, sees it quickly. Lyle is like the point guard that dribbles and just goes nowhere, can't see it.

i like your reply because you correct in terms of the pin and pull guys as we pulled cici last game vs coop ... i disagree on pringle only helping a small amount tho ... one cut burst thats small and compact is a menace behind a huge oline
