Can you believe that Ray Lewis wrestled 189 his senior year of HS, then was an impact player the day he suited up in August?

We shouldn’t worry so much about measurables. We should find kids who can play LB.

That’s a misleading datapoint. we don’t actually know what they’ve proven, because we don’t know the processes their former schools used to evaluate and approve offers and set priorities. Moreover, we don’t know what the U’s process will be. You shouldn’t assume they’re just on their own handing out offers. That’s not how it works.

I agree except that was 20+ years ago and the size and the speed of the players has changed A LOT since then...Ain’t no 189 lb Senior starting in August on a P5 team at LBer I don’t care if they were wrestling alligators..

Whoever TRob wants at CB, I want at CB. Whoever Twill wants at LB, I want at LB. I'm for certain the recruiting at those two positions will be DRASTICALLY better than when we had Rumph and Baker.

this is why programs make terrible decisions. Because people are susceptible to becoming delusional.

ray lewis as a frosh would be the best player on our team, by far. He wasn’t some undersized player from the 1950s. He’s literally the monster goat defensive player hardest hitter best tackler thumped eeryone, same guy.

The recruiting will be better, because they’re better recruiters. But you sound like youre assuming they’re going to decide on their own WHO they recruit. You don’t know that and there’s no reason to believe it at this point. It’s not how things work in cfb. So the process of evaluating who to recruit, we can hope it’s better, but we don’t know that it will be.
