NEW RB?

My bad was confused why this overly debated topic with multiple threads needed this post. I wanted to assume you wouldn’t be derailing this fine thread with B.S… but alas I was wrong about you.

That was a serious *** question.

So Excited Flirting GIF

We're at an estimated 84 scholarship players currently.
Yes I know but if you go on the actual Miami website, there's players who have been in camp that aren't on the roster, the heights and weights are off, players current jersey numbers aren't updated, and I think Jalen Harrell is still on the roster. I'd guess 99% of rosters on the schools websites are updated across the country.

He ran for over 1,000 yards and averaged over 5.0 yards per carry, and has 12 career TD's.

When we play BC, up by 40 in the 4th quarter you want Thad Franklin getting carries or this guy?
Whomever gets us up by 60….. :)

a week before the season this guy Mario plays zero games hahah
I have no idea why a guy who had production would transfer to a school where he's going to sit on the bench.

I thought Devon Perry was in the ideal spot to get a few carries when called upon. He looked good in the Spring game and had moments in camp.

This improves RB depth, but I don't think it's a good move for the young man aside from the academics of pursuing a Masters Degree.

1 season insurance policy that allows some flexibility in the plays we call against overmatched opponents (I.e. 3 of the first 4 games) with our existing healthy backs.

We’d like to be able to run the ball a lot against the likes of Bethune, Southern Miss and MTSU and this shores that up

Your last line maybe the reasoN for him. A Master’s degree from UM is pretty valuable.

If we had a spot and he’s gonna come be marginally better than walk ons at a spot we lost 2 guys, why not?

Don’t wanna read too much into this but sounds a little like they’re not confident in getting Cheney or Citizen back this year. Huge bummer. Really high on both those guys

Mario said Citizen is out for the season. Cheney is out for extended period.

Maybe he feels that he has the skills to produce in a major D1 program and has always dreamed of having a shot. This is his shot ... his dream.

it's going from corch to coach.
Manny would have just said "eh, just give rooster another 20 carries and call it a day"
Might have been a blessing in disguise that Rooster was suspended the first 4 games. He wouldn't have made it all 12 games if he was good to go all year.

Coming in the week before the 1st game? Who's spot is he going to take?

Would have to have 1-2 more injuries at RB before seeing playing time and then Chaney returns.

Maybe a role I'm KO and punt returns.

Also, have to consider the possibility that the kid wants more exposure to NFL scouts, and, if the NFL doesn't pan out, has the ability to GA at a school like UM with a top tier CFB coaching staff.
