when is this person going to finally be selected. the day they take over, i am writing them a letter to fire Al Golden. 100% serious

after the spring semester is when the new president should officially begin. rumors are they want the selection process done by march but well see. i haven't gotten another email regarding the presidential search in a little while but hopefully they send an update out to the alumni again soon.
 
June 1st is when the new president will officially take over.

The admin says that the selection will be done in early March but I would expect it to drag on into very late March or early April.
 
Hopefully none of the candy.... they probably want is willing to take the job because of all the drama we are creating and they get stuck with someone who actually wants a football team.

I don't see it dragging. For this type of position you need at least a 90 day window for the person to wind down their current role. Would not surprise me if an announcement comes in the next 30 days or so. In some sense they are already late. Search is now months old and June 1 will come very quickly.

They announced Shalala late back when she first got the job so I'm just assuming it'll follow the same pattern.
