New players who have improved under this staff

you bring up 2 true freshmen? those guys shouldn't even be on the field until next year if the previous staff knew how to build a solid roster. I remember a time when you wouldn't even touch the field until your JR year at Miami. you expect freshmen to make mistakes. but those freshmen still look better than the ones we've had for 3-4 years at those positions
Do you really remember a time when kids didn’t touch the field until their junior year? Because that wasn’t the case. Kids who could play have always come in here and gotten PT if they were better than the kid in front of them. Vilma, Gore, Dan Morgan, Ed Reed, Moss, Wayne, Romberg, Joaquin, Rumph, Portis, Wilfork, Damione Lewis, Carey, DJ Williams, Rolle all guys who got on the field and played significantly during their freshman years, those are just kids from the 98-01(?)

I know for a fact Vilma didn't see the field until his sophomore season, Morgan Soph as well. those can relate at that position. Shockey played as a freshman. only 2 at positions I mentioned. You also mentioned a ton of skill player positions at WR and RB where speed kills. The others you mentioned were just straight up monsters on the line

Wrong.

Vilma - Per the UM Football Website:

2000 (FRESHMAN): Named a first-team Freshman All-America by Rivals.com… played in all 11 games as a reserve middle linebacker… had 38 tackles (29 solos) and five tackles for losses totaling nine yards… began the season with 10 tackles (eight solos) against McNeese State… made four tackles at West Virginia… had six stops (four solos) and a tackle for loss at Rutgers… had four tackles (all solos) and a tackle for a two-yard loss in the 27-24 win over top-ranked Florida State… made three tackles against Louisiana Tech… Had four tackles against Pittsburgh… made four tackles while playing for an extended period in the 26-0 victory at Syracuse… made two tackles, including a stop for a four-yard loss, in the season finale against Boston College… had two unassisted tackles in Miami’s 37-20 win over Florida in the Nokia Sugar Bowl.

Our pass blocking was so much better last year because towards the end of the year we became a HEAVY RPO team. Meaning we were run blocking for alot of our pass plays. Justice said so himself in an interview
So if it worked, why change it to the abomination that we’ve seen this season? That makes zero sense, like the rest of the crap that this staff has done.

What you’re trying to tell me is that our line looked way better because they were run blocking during pass plays. It obviously worked as evidenced by the numbers that TVD put up, and by the 6-1 record at the end of last season.

Our OL is undersized and not very athletic. Only an absolute moron (Mario/Mirabal/Gattis) would change what was working so well for this group of players to force them to do something that they are terrible at. It’s the very definition of insanity.

You’re a ******* moron. I won’t even debate with someone who can’t even make a 2 minute google search.

Mallory hasn't developed at all in 5 years. He's still the same finesse TE who's a matchup problem (for the most part) in the passing game, but little more than a traffic cone as a blocker.
Stop it he made huge plays this year when TVD had that stretch of games where he was lighting it up
