New players who have improved under this staff

Knighton has not improved. He has dropped off by a lot from the previous season. I blame the injuries he had since the offseason but you can't have him here as someone who has gotten better under Mario.
 
Garcia has been atrocious, no doubt about it. But I have to disagree with anyone giving Skinner a pass on that drop. He dropped the ball, plain and simple. He has to make that catch. It hit both his hands and smacked him in the face mask. It would not have been a “great” play if he caught. Not sure what others are seeing here.

I saw a bad throw on a well designed play. A good QB leads him there and we have a big play.

He did have his best game running the ball last week against Georgia tech

Mallory hasn't developed at all in 5 years. He's still the same finesse TE who's a matchup problem (for the most part) in the passing game, but little more than a traffic cone as a blocker.

Mesidor and Jackson have been two of the steadiest performers on the entire team this year and I recall Mesidor getting a sack last night. Is there room for improvement ? Absolutely, but saying they haven't improved is a reach.

The DLine transfers have been excellent. The RB transfers have been good, so have the WR ones. The LB and CB ones less so, but I think they were kinda desperate for a warm body at that point.

It gives me hope for the future that Mario and co know what they're looking for.

Closing on the trail & talent eval are definite strengths. Can he identify & close on the right OC will be the million dollar question.

Yeah he looked really good last year and i dont recall the fumbleitis. I am not ready to give up on Knighton. I do think he rebounded this year in terms of mental toughness. Could have easily just felt sorry for himself and go into a shell.
 
How about old players?

Now that Ivey isn’t on an island and asked to cover a deep 1/3, he has done really well.

Brantley when given a chance keeps taking heads off. He also caught a TD on a bad throw.

Clarke even with multiple injuries he wasn’t getting his **** pushed into the Qb on every play.

He fumbled multiple times last year also we have just got them back

agree, I'm a huge fan of Knighton. I wouldn't be surprise if he transfers out. His not a good fit in Mario's offense like Parrish is. Hopefully Knighton ends the season against Pitt on a good game like against Ga Tech

Jacurri has the poise to play, but his passing skills aren’t close to being ready. He should still be in the crockpot. Edit: This was Garcia’s play. My bad.

This is what chaos looks like. Nothing is ever easy. But some will claim we recruited 50+ 4 star busts.
