I understand the people who want to defend Mario for taking over the disaster that he received from Manny, that has been discussed enough. But which of the new recruits that Mario brought in, in 2023 and the portal guys that he brought in as well have we seen improvement from during this season?

Skinner let a ball bounce off his face mask last night, WB hasn’t been immune to missed tackles this year as well.

That throw to skinner was bad ball placement , he had the defender beAt and he had to slow up for the ball. A qb with accuracy would put that throw on his outside shoulder and either he catches it or it goes out of bounds. Him slowing up allowed the defender to get in the play.

As for Mario’s guys that’s improved it’s WB, Anez Cooper , N Kelly and C Young. Wb has played very well and doesn’t miss a lot of tackles. He’s already one of the better players on the D.

Yeah ppl are acting like Skinner was wide open and dropped the pass. Trotter was in really good position after Skinner had to slow a little bit.

Those players have shown improvement from game 1 to game 11? Mesidor and Jackson we’re waiting for a breakout the moment they stepped foot on campus. Mallory has always flashed, pretty much the same player today as he was in years 1-4

Throw wasn’t there, but it was close enough that Skinner should have caught it or jumped straight up to high point it or get a PI

Same as the WR **** from the previous regime…

Yeah the replay to Skinner clearly showed the defender making a play on that ball. Skinner would have had to “box him out” or like you said, a better placed ball to catch that. I don’t get guys blaming Skinner there. I simply didn’t see it that way.

Other choices:
- TVD and he throws his arm off
- Brown and he skip passes it or throws it into the crowd…

All 3 were here in the spring. What have Gattis and Ponce done but ruin a once promising QB room?

If Skinner caught it would have been a great play. Wasn’t a routine play.

Our guys don’t draw PI’s. We aren’t physical

A db hanging all over you and the ball is under thrown so bad you have to wait on the ball goes on the qb. The defender 100 % made a play on the ball and had a hand in there. It would’ve been an incredible play but it should’ve been an easy play that was as made hard with the bad throw.
 
To be honest I think the Waterboy game is totally approved under Mario
