New offensive analyst Max Drisko

I know but it just sounds gimmicky to me. Maybe I'm just being a traditionalist, but I think they are useless titles that do nothing but boost egos and create divisiveness.

A minute ago you thought these titles meant that half the coaches were calling plays. Now you say they are useless. The titles are used to retain talent, like in any org. Seriously, don't sweat it.

We all stay stupid ****. I'm an anti-mope. I've said a lot worse. You can spend your weekend combing years of the board and calling people out all you want but you're still an angry bi-polar weirdo who has nothing going on in life but a wackadoodle internet schtick for strangers.

Meanwhile you're getting worked on here by the entire board for your idiotic takes from NOW.

Everyone here could go combing your posts for idiocy, but we have lives and don't care. Sorry if that hits too hard. Now go back to trolling. It's your only life skill, kid.

I can't stand the idea of anyone but our offensive or defensive coordinators calling plays. These co-oc / co-dc, passing/running game coordinator positions **** me off.

I think they may have something. They qualify trends. Habits. Tendencies. Situational behavior.

I used to track/hunt men. I could follow a track for a bit and learn a lot about that person. Things most folks would never think about - I was looking for his tendencies. To step over something - folks tend to use the same foot - and when a trail splits around an obstacle - they tend to go to the same side again and again - right or left. Good thing to know for several reasons.

I tracked a man once - got a profile - broke out the map - and actually beat him to his destination.

That's what these guys do - note the nuances - the patterns - the tendencies - and they can often predict using solid, statistically data - what they're likely to do in that particular situation, at that position on the field.

There's a few folks here that when UM was playing - could make a call as to what our OC was going to call - as they were so predictable.

That's the one thing that will destroy an offense. Tendencies - not well executed.

I played at Catholic when Dave Dunn (current Columbus HS head coach) was the head coach.

Ask me questions.

Spread offenses came from HS. We were running a spread in the mid 90’s when I was in HS and it made an enormous difference and fast. We beat teams we had no business beating because of using space against better athletes. It helped with blocking ,bigger throwing windows and getting guys open.

That's pretty interesting. What do you do for a living?

One of the differences I noted between when Lashlee came over as OC and Gattis was Lashlee brought in some of guys as offensive analysts to help him implement his system, etc. I don't remember Gattis bringing a single person over. Not defending Gattis at all but hard to implement your offensive system when you didn't hire a single coach on offense or bring in any analysts. Hopefully a couple more from the Dawson tree get employed here.
Well Dawson is a seasoned OC (10 Years and 6 Teams) as opposed to Gattis ( 1 Co-OC year, 3 Years at Mich. with one year getting stripped of play calling duties). I think he knows what he needs to do to get the system implemented asap!!
