New offensive analyst Max Drisko

One of the differences I noted between when Lashlee came over as OC and Gattis was Lashlee brought in some of guys as offensive analysts to help him implement his system, etc. I don't remember Gattis bringing a single person over. Not defending Gattis at all but hard to implement your offensive system when you didn't hire a single coach on offense or bring in any analysts. Hopefully a couple more from the Dawson tree get employed here.

Gattis was terrible on every level. Needs to be selling shoes at Shoe Rack.

The Eagles converting time and again on 4th down in the SB a recent example of analytics v old school thinking. As far as this hire - who knows? To me, just like the OC - tbd.

So is that on Mario or Gattis? You would think if Gattis was anywhere near competent he would have asked as part of his negotiations to bring some of his own analysts at the very least. Maybe that right there should have been a big red flag to Mario.

How do you know he didn’t try and they said no thanks. Says more about Gattis than Mario.

On paper I think most of us were thinking he assembled an all star staff. I am hoping this time around he is looking at not just competence, but other factors such as drive, commitment, and compatible personalities. Now that he, Alonzo, and Rad has had a whole year to assess the situation I hope they make better hires that fit their overall vision.

Came up at Southern Miss as a graduate assistant working within quarterbacks under Dawson and also coordinated recruiting efforts in the South Louisiana area.

LMAO, I just hate the hybrid roles. An OC should be more than enough to call our running and passing plays. Same is true for defense.

I know but it just sounds gimmicky to me. Maybe I'm just being a traditionalist, but I think they are useless titles that do nothing but boost egos and create divisiveness.
