I think you are 100% correct that once the novelty of NIL wears off for corporations, they may back off if they don’t see an appropriate return on investment. Boosters may never care because all this does is give them an easy, legit way to give money they would anyways.

You don’t spend $500 million on NIL. You invest $500 million and get a 5% return each year which is then directed towards NIL’s it’s a tax write off and the $500 million is still there.

If each player got a 1 thousand dollar nil deal with that company that only uses 85 thousand of that 25 million and all that can be written off for advertising. Used 1 thousand as an arbitrary figure. Doubt if all nil deals will be same for each player but 25 million available to pay on nil much higher deals could be made. The company still has the 500 million.
