MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

Maybe it’s this in this thread or another, but I was alluding to Nike becoming hyper aggressive w NIL meaning the pickings r going to become slimmer when athletes at Nike branded schools becoming Nike athletes & hit the transfer portal. They’ll just be recycled amongst other Nike/Jordan Branded Schools.

Elliot has made it clear that Nike’s shift in focus is no longer fancy collaborations, but back to its DNA of innovation & athletes. So cross DJ Pickett off ur wish list.

You still think we’re re-upping with the three stripes next year?

Truthfully? I haven’t really tapped in for a couple of months to gauge temps. I will say the “only” glimmer of hope, I see, is the buyers remorse Adidas is now having w both UTenn & PSU. They paid a **** ton of $$. Again, not sure if I posted it here or another thread (since it’s like 500 of these threads v. one, tidy shoes/apparel thread), but I specifically said UTenn will take a step back & Adidas will regret paying all that $$$ to get them back.

Other than that, I’m not so sure, but my gut is saying we probably will, unfortunately. Still 75/25, maybe more 80/20.

Probably for the best.

Now I don't have to spend thousands on Nike and/or JB merch and can instead just continue to buy nothing from Adidas.

I’m waiting for the ACC to force every program to wear Jordan uniforms just so there can be a basketball player on every football uniform.

I warned of that months ago. On the other, much longer, thread.

The Columbus Mafia (minus Mario) has chosen adidas.

If we stick with Adidas, hopefully they improve their fan gear. Cause it's been meh for a long time.
How do I know that a lot of the Nike loyalists don't pay attention to general trends? Comments like this. Fan gear have been stripped down for the better part of two decades. Once leagues(and to an extent Universities) started signing exclusive deals with one or two major suppliers, instead of the dozens that existed 30 years ago, there has been a drastic decrease in daring designs. The video I included discusses this phenomenon with the NFL as a case study. It's not much different for any of the major sports.

If you go on Fanatics and select a random Nike school and compare it to an Adidas school, the gear is very similar, the only difference would be fonts and fabric feel. It then comes down to personal preference. There's a reason why outfits like Homefield, Homage, and Starter are niche brands now, it's because that although there is a legit market for the older, more daring designs, most people are fine with the plain, utilitarian designs we see in modern licensed apparel.

Nike loyalists? Lmao I'm going off personal experience of having both recent Adidas and Nike gear. And in my opinion, Nike is better quality.

It ain't that serious lol

Three stripe life for me. Nike treated us like garbage and Adidas is treating us like we deserve to be treated, like the blue blood we are.

speaking of garbage, i’d like to bring your attention to the “three stripes” on our pants

This dip**** @Canedude08 is telling us to make a comparison ON FANATICS.

Nope.

I compare the actual materials. This is why I stopped buying adidas, it has gotten worse over the past 5 years. About 5 or 6 years ago, I bought a green polo and an orange polo from adidas that are among the favorite polos I've ever had, from either company. Since then, adidas has fallen off the map.

When I was in the hospital, I asked my wife to bring me a couple of polo shirts. I described them to her, though she really has no idea about this stuff. She brought me two polo shirts from a couple of years ago that have some weird-*** rubberized striping on the sleeves. The newer shirts were a much tighter fit, and meanwhile I've purchased the same size shirts from adidas for a decade.

I just wore the older adidas polo to a work event yesterday. Fits great. Looks great.

I don't know what adidas changed, I just know it's different. For the last year, I've been buying Columbia polos, Tommy Bahama polos, Cutter & Buck polos, Champion polos, and Colosseum polos. Every single one of those brands looks and fits better than adidas does.

And **** all this "Nike loyalists" bull****. They make better product. Period.

I hit the raffle on the Undefeated Jordan 4 earlier this year, and I hit the raffle on the Solefly "Fruits of our Labors" Jordan 3 a few weeks ago. That's all I really need. I had those discounted Miami Adizero running shoes in my Fanatics cart a few days ago, and I couldn't go through with it. I realized it would be yet another pair of Miami adidas shoes that I never wear.

I'm done with adidas. Even if it takes us another decade to get back to Nike (right after Messi finally retires), I can't buy this adidas **** any longer.
