New DC Lance Guidry fired up!!

I normally don’t start threads and will get lambasted for not putting this in the DC thread but I felt it’s worth it. Watch this pregame speech from our new DC when he was the HC at Western Kentucky. He’s very passionate and I am definitely a fan!!!

Did they win the game?? Too lazy to look it up

I honestly didn’t know. I just assumed they did but to do due diligence, I looked it up and they actually lost to Central Michigan 21-24. He was the interim HC. What’s crazy is the year before he was the interim HC at Miami (OH) and they went to a bowl game and beat MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE 34-21. So he already did something that our DC last year couldn’t. I’m sold!!! Video of his pregame speech below:

Brian Kelly is a charlatan

This guy is country af n doesn’t give a **** where he lives he is his true self

Respect the **** out of that
Awesome Sean Penn GIF

This dude sounds like he kills gators with his bare hands and stews a good opossum. them bayou folks are different

His speech reminded me of that "Road Trip" scene from Animal House.

I think he's going to be great for us; don't think it makes a hill of beans difference that this will be his first P5 DC coaching job.

I reckon that he's fixin to right the ship and our dawgs will hunt this season.

From all I’ve seen and ready I like this a **** of a lot more than a retread like Kevin Steele.

Greg Schiano was a 32-year old nobody when he showed up in 1999: a Chicago Bears defensive assistant who’d done a few years coaching up Penn State defensive back before that.

Somebody is always gonna be the next great, and while you don’t always want some project—Guidry has some nice experience, football IQ (and his style of coaching) as well as some passion that players seem to relate to.

Bring it on, find us a competent OC and let’s get back to work.

Edit: Good grief, mods—h - e - l - l gets censored here now? Ease up.

Schiano then left before the 2001 Sugar Bowl vs UF to go to Rutgers, and Pagano was the DC for that game.
