His other offers were Tennessee State and James Madison, how Al the master recruiter Golden stole him away is amazing.
You may not be an idiot but you are ill-informed of the nuances of the recruiting process.
When a HS student/athlete who has never previously been a can't miss recruit while being known as a non-qualifier and that word is out, not only would the pay sites ignore all the facts about you but D1 coaches steer clearly away from that athlete as well. Lower division D2a or lower have boatloads of exceptions to bring in these initial D1 non-qualifiers after NSD. As did Terrence. As a matter of fact, lower divisions get many if not most of their players after signing day. Thurston Armbrister came to us this way by sheer happenstance but in the same way, where in this Terrance case we got him by word of someone new on staff that communicates with all HS coaches and knows all about the nooks and cranny of what former "unqualified students" cut the mustard late. Plenty of these good quality ballas get clearance late. Lots of stud ballas go to the TSU and JMU of college Football because these types of schools take loads of these non-initial qualifiers, as that one D2a college and constant BCS NC that keeps beating D1 schools but just refuses to move up to the same higher D1 division from where he keeps beating those teams. They ain't moving knowing that the gravy train of these quality non-qualifiers won't be going up with them to that higher D1 level.
Bottom line this is a pick up that has nothing bad with it; it's all good actually.
