Quarterback N'Kosi Perry (Ocala, Fla./Vanguard) committed to Miami, as first-reported by 247Sports.com.

"I fit well in their offense," Perry said of Miami. "I have very good potential there."

Hurricanes Offensive Coordinator James Coley serves as the recruiter of record.

"I love his offense," Perry said. "I would have my own freedom. I like his style of play."

Perry (6-3, 175) chose Miami over an offer from Virginia Tech.

"I'm hoping for more offers but I'm solid with Miami," Perry said.

Through five games as a junior, Perry has thrown for 1,080 yards and 13 touchdowns and rushed for five additional scores.

The three-star recruit is ranked as the nation's No. 13 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 64 prospect in Florida in the 2017 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

Looks like a talent. Strong arm and good athletic ability. Makes a lot of plays with a porous offensive line in front of him. When he's able to drop back and fire, he throws some darts over the middle.
