New College Football Vidz

Only thing I hate is how kid would put his hand in the dirt every play. Kid needs to adapt to how the game is played at the college and pro level. Head needs to be up and reading the defense if he wants to stay in the game in order to pass protect.

Personally I don't get the point of reaction vids, but seems the kids like them so...

I'll just say that I get the desire to compare Lingard to a recent Miami back, but nobody runs like Duke. There have been better backs at Miami and elsewhere, but Duke has a very distinctive, unique style. I've not seen so effective a stiff arm, or the crazy acceleration that Duke had. The stiff arm speaks for itself, but go back and watch highlights. Other guys have better top end speed (Lingard), but I've never seen anyone have such a visible acceleration. You can just see Duke pulling away from guys, and when everyone's fast (and they are) that's unusual. If He had elite top end Duke would be the best back I've ever seen.

Again, nothing against Lingard, I'm excited to see him on the field, but he doesn't look at all like Duke.

Don't you think that has more to do with what his coaches were asking him to do than his personal preference?

LOL. Obviously that has something to do with the offense he played in and what his coaches asked him to do.

that's just how the fullback in a wing-t offense should line up. the entire scheme is designed around misdirection, so a 3 point stance for the primary ball carrier gives the defense less to look at to make reads.

he'll be in a 2 point stance here.

Just a personal opinion and I’m a duke fan but Homer hits the hole harder and has better speed and acceleration than duke.

Duke was a great back at Miami for sure though and is making noise in the league. Wish he played on better Miami teams though.

Given lingards size and speed combo is ceiling potentially could be very high

Gurley played in the same offense and made the transition in richt system. Lingard will be fine, just got to get adjusted to running out of a traditional backfield set
