I’d like to see you make an updated who will be the coach in 2022 thread? With hundreds of votes. I just can’t see Cristobal/Lane being here. One can dream..
Put forth a suggestion and I'll add it.

I just meant overall wording. This says should.. not who will. I’d vote Manny over Lane tbh. Just don’t see it. Wishful thinking. Maybe I’m just a battered wife.
I see the difference.

I trust that Mario will be here for the long haul. Lane might pull a Butch and leave for NFL when Miami is at the doorstep.

Herman because he’s likely the only one on that list who would come and I prefer him over Freeze.

This is hilarious. Diaz isn't fired yet, the number of "I want this guy" suggestions will mean that most here will be disappointed no matter who gets picked and then we start the same cycle for the 6th time.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
Tell me how recycle of coaches has worked so far...also how many coaches needed more than 3 years to prove themselves? Let the insanity end!

If Diaz was idle and not addressing our problems then it is time to go, but he has been innovative and a problem solver. I'd bet he knows making himself DC spread himself to thin. Mullen fires two coordinators and everything is fine, Diaz is under such pressure it is difficult for him to initiate the changes I'd bet he knows have to be made. With James gone we are lame ducks now until another AD gets added. Hopefully someone wise and intuitive, one that will give Manny one more year plus give him a workable budget.

Even @Andrew has said it’s time to fire Manny, Fraggle. Another year of Manny will set our recruiting back to 2024 or 25. He’s toast here. His decisions have been pretty bad this year from no LB’s from the portal, to the way injured players were handled to being his own DC. It’s enough.

I think Mario would be the best choice.

I know we,'re putting money into the program, but I just can't see us getting him

Say we do offer him $10 million. Phil Knight and Co. can say, "Lol, 12 million."

And they already have a staff in place and building a world class IPF. And a top 5 program.

Other than no taxes and home, what can we offer? I don't think we can resurrect the State Of Miami in terms of recruiting.

Who we hire as AD will tell us everything we need to know That is an absolutely crucial hire.
