Looks like we offered 2019 Maurice Hampton a CB that is committed to LSU that was at the UVa game.

What do you guys make of this? Standard procedure, or is there interest here?

What does that even mean? Standard procedure? The staff evaluated his film and extended an offer after a visit. Still a long time to go.

The kid showing up for the game indicates genuine interest and these coaches ain't throwing schoolie offers out the car window like Golden was doing... now if he shows up for Paradise, we're really cooking!

As in, did the staff after meeting him last weekend like him and his film so they offered? Or is this an offer to a really good player that visited that probably doesnt have legitimate interest in UM. I was just asking a simple question as to whether anyone knows anything about this recruit. But thank for the snide response.

There’s no rhyme or reason as to when a staff offers a kid.

Maybe they wanted to see him in person first to confirm his listed measurables? Or maybe they thought the in person offer would be more personable?

This kid is clutch, IMO. Les Miles supposedly started recruiting this kid when he was young. He is also a great baseball player. Very athletic, very competitive, high IQ.

Didn't you know that it is standard procedure to offer everyone, irrespective of whether there is interest?
