New Barry article talking about JT4

Perfect opportunity for Diaz to get locker room camaraderie/leadership/respect. I'd address the team, let them decide & go from there.
Exactly! This is how you handle it step by step. And if they overwhelmingly vote him back Then that’s a sign everyone has bought in. Now let’s go dethrone those effin tigers. I wanna hear hurts to Thomas for six all day long along with Lo breaking a long run on that rookie tiger dline! 😁🙌

No thanks

Quit on his Hs team
Quit on Miami
Wants to quit on Illinois

We have more than enough talent to win the coastal

Agree. The kid was a problem with his attitude. Plenty of kids on the team were frustrated with what was going on. They didn't behave the way he did- they kept their mouths shut and finished out the season. And it wasn't just the football issues from everything that has been said. He needs to clean up his attitude about school.

You’re right, but that would be at Illinois where he needs the waiver...NOT Miami. Assuming he hasn’t signed something which precludes him from coming back to Miami, and assuming that he can do his coursework, he could come back to Miami and play this year.

And Miami is his best chance of playing this year, and trying to get a waiver in Illinois a crapshoot. Ivins knows all this. Anybody knows all this.

The bottom line is this, I have yet to see anything that would make me think this is seriously happening. I think you’ve got a bunch of local reporters reporting message board rumors. I might be wrong about that, but I wonder what “sources“ they actually have.

I just don’t trust the local reporters, even the newspaper ones. I trust people like Stefan more, to be honest with you

Yeah, source wise my head was starting to spin with the differing statements / opinions as to who our OC was going to be. I try not to get too high or low until these things are done deals.

As to Thomas, Richt said he was dismissed from the team even though Thomas later said that wasn’t. So If Thomas was actually dismissed I definitely don’t see us taking him back, regardless of Richt no longer being here. Diaz is also rightfully big on accountability. And others have previously posted about setting a bad precedent, sending the wrong message, etc. (plus the U always has to be mindful of maintaining institutional control)

Exactly, people act like a 19 year old kid Is not allowed to make mistakes

They are, but He was the only dum@$$ that laid hands on a coach.

As much school as I saw Him miss on that 89 Blocks doc, I'm not surprised He has issues with His transcripts.

This kid has had enough adults enabling His behavior, no need for more.

Yeah, well, I'm sure He wasn't the only offensive player that had an issue with Richt's O, but He was the only dum@$$ that couldn't keep His hands to Himself.

Kid's a snake, no.
I disagree. Just to be clear also THE STAFF was constantly trying to fight kids last year. That's not what happened here. But it's evident it was part of the established culture. Gus got into several situation he had to be physically restrained from going after players. The last of which was with an offensive lineman during a game where he called him (for lack of better terms) a Kenneth supporter & told him in college he would've ****ed him... Kyle or **** nutritionist tried to fight one of our QBs during the bc game and had to be restrained. Cooney got into a fight with a db. Don't act like kids are such villains if the story isn't fully known. In this instance when dugans was confronted by this (not in a physical manner by the way) he called the kid out as ungrateful & threw in his face a family issue he got involved with for Jeff. Uncalled for at the least.

No wonder el jefe shîtcanned the whole lot immediately.

The kid came from nothing, I’m afraid what would have happen if he did go back to Illinois/east St. Louis and his nfl dream never gets materialized.... I Would rather Miami take him back and he gets his nfl payday after this year rather than him being another talented black athlete lost in the system. Not a crime to give out Second chances period

If Jeff was on defense he would not have left, no one should blame the young man for what he did, especially what we saw publicly.

Agree. And i always thought his upside at CB was even higher then WR. He was laying dudes out in highschool. But bring his *** back and we have our #1 WR for next year in a real offense for the first time since hes been here
