New Barry article talking about JT4

Going back to 2018 to pick JT4 *** back up. Even though I wasn't excited about the Diaz hire I like the sense of urgency he's displaying thus far. Leaving no stone left unturned when it comes to adding talent.

I’m on the fence on him because we don’t know what went down. If he was dividing the locker room and quit on the team then he can’t be brought back no matter how good he is because we will have adversity this year again.

If he was another casualty of Richt cutting people loose for farting in a meeting then bring him back.

No thanks

Quit on his Hs team
Quit on Miami
Wants to quit on Illinois

We have more than enough talent to win the coastal

He didnt divide the locker room. The issue is he got into a fight with dugans over how he was being used & because cooney told him he had a transcript issue that could cost him his eligibility. Dont know why cooney got involved in the first place and Jeff was right to have an issue about his role and how wr as a whole was being used. That being said I was just told it's a very real POSSIBILITY that jeff comes back. Apparently manny and him are close and manny is pulling for him. Have to see how that goes cause his transcript issue was real...

If Jeff was on defense he would not have left, no one should blame the young man for what he did, especially what we saw publicly.

This is lame from Ivins.

If he wants to play major football THIS year, his only chance is at Miami due to transfer rules and Ivins knows that.

Why would a source need to tell him that?

That was misleading AF.

Initially agree with you but I think the lesser chance is if he applied for and got a waiver based on some “need” to be close to him. Facts would of course need to support this.

Thomas is essentially a grad transfer. It's a contract year for him. Works out great for everyone....except Illinois..

You’re right, but that would be at Illinois where he needs the waiver...NOT Miami. Assuming he hasn’t signed something which precludes him from coming back to Miami, and assuming that he can do his coursework, he could come back to Miami and play this year.

And Miami is his best chance of playing this year, and trying to get a waiver in Illinois a crapshoot. Ivins knows all this. Anybody knows all this.

The bottom line is this, I have yet to see anything that would make me think this is seriously happening. I think you’ve got a bunch of local reporters reporting message board rumors. I might be wrong about that, but I wonder what “sources“ they actually have.

I just don’t trust the local reporters, even the newspaper ones. I trust people like Stefan more, to be honest with you
