In all seriousness, let's walk through thematically the difference:
Diaz = pressure in back field
Guidry = pressure in back field
Diaz = LBs support DL/cover mid (often on island)
Guidry = LBs support DL/cover mid (often on island)
Diaz = DBs cover as called and are often forced into 1 on 1 if runner breaks free into 2d level
Guidry = DBs cover as called and are often forced into 1 on 1 if runner breaks free into 2d level
Both DCs philosphy rely heavily on tackling or the runner is going to chew up yards. Diaz's Ds just kept missing 20+ tackles a game. Mich St, among others, is a perfect example.
