New addition to the recruiting staff?

Completely agree. I think we dropped major bags on King and Williams. King could have gone anywhere he wanted to but he choose Miami because they most likely dropped bags for him. When he committed, I said to myself "did he watch our offensive line last season. "And Williams was set to go to Florida hours before the announcement. His mom even bought him a cake with Florida colors on it. But he committed to Miami at the last minute.
We definitely didn't drop any bags for Tae Williams...

In fact, the only reason we got him is because he wasn't getting paid, trust me, if there were any bags involved in his recruitment he would've signed with UF.

He came here because Banda convinced him that we would develop him & help his family situation out the best. Banda has a young daughter just like Tae does & it resonated with him that Banda would help him out as a father.

If it was just about cash, UF, UGA or Ole Miss could pay him significantly more than anything we'd be able to offer.

This is a perfect example of a diseased brain.

His mom aint buy the cake. the school provided them for all the kids that committed. people like Cam underwood and andrew ivins were told the day before he was coming to miami. Ivins said it himself Avantae told him personally but he didnt change his CB because he didnt want to ruin the moment and he took the 3hr drive to go watch him put on his UM hat...

I have harshly criticized Williams' judgment by virtue of the fact that he has 2 children prior to HS graduation. That said, I am hoping that situation works out. I don't know who else might be relying on him, but that is a serious pressure cooker.

I have a cousin who had fathered two kids by 19. He's currently 21 and in the military.

I read differently but regardless, the cake was Florida colors so he must have told people he was going to Florida. He switched his pick to Miami because they probably offered him cash. Why would the number one safety want to play for a 6-7 ****hole when he could compete for a national championship with Florida

If there is no news to break yet news gets broken, is there now news?

I'll bet you an ST26 jersey that we didn't drop a dime for either one of these studs.

So we just supposed to ignore the fact that you went from a definitive statement to a “probably”

For what its worth this only makes me appreciate Tae more. Just feels like he could really be a tone setting type player similar to JaQuan. When somebody goes where they want rather where the biggest buck is that speaks volumes to me.

1. its still Miami and there is still an allure there.
2. the ego of an elite prospect would lead them to think they can be the guy to change it around.
3. he said he likes the defense and sees the changes on the offensive side so 6-7 is not as worrying as it once was

I'm a great supporter of having the choice of homeschooling your child. But, @ST26 is a perfect example of its draw backs. This kid has to much free time on his hands.....

I swim three hours every single day, I have lacrosse conditioning three times a week. I am in two clubs. And I am in three AP classes and I am an honors students So I don’t have a lot of free. And you shouldn’t be talking. You have probably posted like 50 times in the past hour. Get a job

No, don't you know anything? Someone on GayNN (Gaytors News Network) convinced ST26 that Little Old Miami somehow OUTBID an SEC school for a Top 50 recruit...AND HE BELIEVED IT.

Again, I want to make something very clear. I am not saying that Miami has never or will never provide extra benefits, but merely that there is NO WAY IN **** that Miami has ever or will ever outbid an SEC school for a recruit.

Even the people who think that Miami "participates" in the "bag game" acknowledge that Miami is NOT COMPETITIVE in the "bag game", certainly not in a way that allows us to outbid the SEC (or Big 10 or Big 12 or Clemson) for a Top 50 recruit.

No way, no how.

But ST26 is convinced that we dropped serious bags for Avantae. Because of a Publix sheet cake.

Our defensive line and linebackers carry our entire defense. Our secondary is awful. Every single Florida defensive back would start over every guy on Miami. Florida has a lot of starting defensive backs in the NFL
