I don’t know what BJ makes now, but based on the research I’ve done any replacement AD worth a **** would command around a $1mm salary. If you really wanted to get a top notch one you’d be closer to $1.5mm.

If Miami’s goal is to return to greatness, and not just in football, for the marginally increase of $500k go get a really good one.

For how critical they are in overseeing such a big profit center within a university, you couldn’t make a better investment. Especially when navigating the back channels of hiring coaches within football and basketball

We’ve thrown out a few names, but I’m curious what our criteria would look like. My first cut would be:

- at least 5 years of experience as 2nd in command to AD, but preferable as acting AD
- coming from a P5 school with a history of the football dept being a top 25ish program consistently over the past 10 yrs
- would be helpful if it was a private school but not an absolute requirement
- history of making multiple successful hires within Fball and Bball

I’m trying to narrow down the schools to start researching staff members and backgrounds for the 10-15 schools we identify

Our criteria as fans will undoubtedly be 10,000x more stringent & thorough than the BOT’s without question.

If Marcus Lemonis is calling the shots, you can expect an all Columbus special for the next two hires.

Don't worry LCE, Lemonis is just some hack. Doesn't represent any faction whatsoever on BoT. Randomly types away his thoughts without any purpose whatsoever. 😂🙄

#NowBackToReality

I suspect his E before W faction is at least quietly gloating over the Pitt results and expect more of the same going forward.....

Maybe Lemonis can turn it into a reality TV special on CNBC…. “Who wants to be the Miami AD?”

Where Lemonis comes in and is constantly shaking his head at all the ideas the Miami BOT comes up with

Danny White signed a 5 year $10MM deal to become Tennessee's AD...White was previously at UCF where he was making about $1MM/yr.

You have to pay if you want a vet AD who knows what they're doing. Does UM do it? Color me surprised if they do....

My first question to a prospective AD is "Would you take a contract heavily loaded on the backend with massive incentives based upon winning the ACC in football within 5 years and making a Sweet 16 in hoops in that same timeframe?"

My second question would be "Do you urinate standing up?"

I can confirm that I defecate sitting down

And the Baseball team at least host a regional…figure if they do that they’ve at least had a pretty decent year and aren’t going through Gutterville or Trailerhassee

Third question “Does your wife?”
