Nesta.

I'll really miss Nesta making a somewhat half play and celebrate and flex like he scored a game winning TD against FSU at Hard Rock.

Bro it was a TFL on a designed QB run on 3rd and 25.

Nesta has shown a lot of flashes this year.

If he works hard this off season, improves his technique, he could be a 1st or 2nd team All-ACC player next year.

This season:

-35 tackles/8 TFL/1 sack/1 forces fumble
-All ACC honorable mention

The DT’s could be a strength next year.

Harrison-Hunte
Miller
Roberts
Taylor
Blissett
Holley

What makes you think these under the table payments would stop if you had this ridiculous salary cap you speak of? That changes nothing besides making it more expensive to field a football team

two words Einstein....”tax returns”

So you think boosters will stop paying kids under the table because of tax returns? Got it.

being on salary changes a lot because “under the table” means a bag of cash.

it’s one thing to defraud the NCAA... it’s another to defraud the IRS.

It’s still defrauding the IRS even if they aren’t currently on salary.

NCAA is big business so the irs doesn’t mess with them.

Let's just stop the bulll**** of "amateur athletics" and admit CFB is actually the NFL's minor leagues and PAY the players legit $ like minor league baseball.

Make a new NCAA agreement that all schools are given the same team salary cap-- this will bring parity into CFB and it will truly come down to coaching to determine the best teams...

The system now is that SEC schools are paying kids/families under the table to hoard the top athletes and everyone else eats the table scraps left over... When Bama and Clemson are stacking blue chips going 2-3 deep at each position -- while Miami celebrates to have 1-2 blue chips on the whole team-- it's an uneven playing field.
These kids live better than we do.
I'd gladly trade places with any of my college football players RIGHT NOW.

I’m sorry but if you don’t think nesta at the least flashed this year in a number of games nearly all of them then you are blind. He had a good junior season as a first year starter and finally healthy and will only get better with another year under his belt with experience.

people try to compare him to Gerald Willis not realIzing how much older willis was when he was dominating like that. Nesta still finished with what 8 tackles for loss this year? In a year where we rotated our dts a lot more than we ever have since diaz has been here and Nesta played less snaps than the past few starters at Dt too because we had more depth in 2020 season

Not really-- you can receive up to $20K a year in "gift money". Or you can give that to their families. There's nothing the boosters are doing wrong to the IRS by giving out ANY amount of money.... Just an NCAA violation.

However, when you start paying the IRS for any/all income-- EVERYONE becomes a an IRS defrauder--- players, families and boosters.... Because ANY kind of compensation now becomes partially IRS property.

The risk goes up significantly when you take taxable compensation.

So, Einstein, you think these kids at Alabama and Clemson are claiming income on their 1040 for the bags of cash they are getting? Or you think that if universities are paying kids that these payments from boosters will stop?

Hint: they don’t...and they won’t

I hear you Brock about playing less snaps but that also implies you're fresher to make more plays. He definitely flashed this year a couple times in different games but he also was a non factor for long periods in just about every game.

Id like to see LT, Nesta, and HH on first downs.

Roberts looked pretty good and Ford could return as well.

Roberts, LT, HH could be needed at SDE.

Nesta shouldn’t go pro and he’s not as good as he should be.

Hopefully he comes back and is less resistant to technique. He doesn’t use his hands.
The lack of development with Nesta is disappointing. This is where we miss Simpson, significantly. His DL were very well sound.

The person gifting the money has to declare it with IRS at tax time. You know that’s not happening.

It’s not just an NCAA issue with players getting paid under the table when you have state schools receiving federal funds but have “students” getting $100k or more to attend the school not including the full athletic scholarship.

First of all why are you quoting yourself and secondly, minor league baseball players make next to nothing.
There's nothing legit about their salaries.

"the Market" will decide their salaries-- i was using minor league baseball as a model of what CFB could be.
