he's raised in Saudi Arabia and will move to the States for high school while parents work overseas.

he's a decently athletic kid who stands about 6'1 and 185lbs. 15 years old. never lifted weights in his life

played basketball in Saudi Arabia but because he's relatively tall there, they put him in center and so his ball skills are not nearly developed enough to play guard here and he's not big enough to play center.

so he wants to play football.

which position would be the easiest for him to pick up while also being safe?

thanks. and serious replies only

His high school football coach will put him through some drills and then pick a position for him.

Depending on the city and the state where the kid is going that will also play a part.

Kid is at a disadvantage trying to learn the game this late, with the size speed ratio, even at the HS level...

Probably don't want a kid that's green to the game of Football getting tackled or be forced to tackle.

  • I concur with Place Holder! Or Kicker.

Unless he's a natural like Bobby Boucher Jr

If that fails, he can hold the sticks (line markers), and still hang with the guys.

If he is coming to Florida then, he is in for a serious awakening.

Enjoy the band you piece of shlt.

And LOL at people actually giving this assclown a serious response. A 10 year old could talk you people out of all your money. I even thought Paramus might be smarter than this.

**** smh some of you guys really love trolling..

Based on his size and basketball background.. you should tell him to try to play WR or FS because that translates easier than other positions. If he hits the weights hard he could end up being 215 by the time he's 18. So he can potentially move to TE if he's speed isn't up to par.

There's a bunch of guys who played D1 football or even made it to the NFL as late bloomers so don't listen to these guys.

If he's really serious then you should get him a speed ladder right away because his footwork needs to be up to par. You can look up a bunch of drills on YouTube.

He should play field hockey or do chess club. Football will peppermintly damage his brian.

Kicker or maybe a position where not too much thinking is involved...DE possibly..(he will be extremely weak...but maybe able to get up field) possibly TE.
