Herbert has battled some health issues and might be close to 100%, Hillery is the backup RT. UM needs to look at some other kids in live games to see who's who. Letting Cleveland Reed hit the transfer portal really hurt the teams depth along the oline.

I would just keep rolling new kids in there give everybody a shot at this. How bad could Cleveland have been to not even get a look. Coaches sometimes locked in on players at their own risks. Give everyone a chance. Remember MR first year, we had Linder, and Darling on the o line and were going nowhere. Linder gets hurt, Darling get bench, they move McDermott to LT, insert Gauthier at LG, and that chubby kid Alex at center, and the offense takes off with Brad .

Unpopular opinion that I'm sure will get trashed.

If Nelson isn't improving and instead keeps getting worse:

Put Tommy Kennedy in instead of Nelson and let him get shell shocked and destroyed. The guy is a senior who is gone next year, let's destroy his confidence instead. I know he will somehow be worse (that's actually possible), but if Nelson is regressing then the whole idea of "letting him develop kind of falls apart.

I cant see him being worse. Just as bad sure. The only way we could be worse is lining up with no LT at all.
