The weight gain has affected some of the talent of these kids.....and not in a good way.

Olsen Pierre was a much better player as a 265-275 pound DE as a freshman. Even when he put on a little weight he was decent. Last year, his weight gain made him so slow inside he lost all burst and made very few plays.

I thought Chickillo was great at 245 pounds in HS, dominating the Under Armour practices.

I think Perryman has gotten just a little too big. He's still a beast, especially in the run game, but he's lost some flexibility and struggles a bit in space.

I don't like the weight Duke added either.

The guys who really needs to add a little weight and strength hasn't - Coley. He seems a bit thin and doesn't break many tackles. The hits he took early this year have already taken a bit out of him.

Clearly, and it ain't close, the amount of hours the coaches put in. It's scary to think he boasts about work ethic and progression that results in ******* regression.

Would looooove to know what Coley's IQ is...In all seriousness. Starting to think he has a learning disability.

There trying to make the system fit the kids instead of making the kids fit the system. they are focusing on the wrong things.

For a while the staff was bent on getting the biggest instead of the best and bulking them up past ideal weight. Duke was the exception. Seems like there is some change: Berrios, Yearby, now Bruce and T Irvin. We missed out on alot of explosive sfl guys bc of that size crap.

They appear to work their tails off recruiting wise and don't think many will dispute that. As far as hours worked in office with team is not questioned either but it is the content that is being delivered to the players and conversations that are had in staff meetings that has the fan base on the ledge. Their hard work shows in recruiting and it is clear for the most part that they know how to go about things and have proven that they know what they are doing there. Football IQ and actual knowledge is the biggest question mark this staff has yet to prove. Either their are beyond clueless are overly stubborn but the amount of time that Al talks about them working is not displayed in their game product

They r the worst staff ever, players look to slow i agree. Duke is done, he has regressed big time cuz of the wieght.
