So it looks like we have 3 weeks left in this signing period.

I know that Enaruna is still out there among HS recruits.

So can Charlie or Consigliere or someone give a quick summary of who we are still in the mix with, both HS and Portal recruits?

Thanks in advance for the knowledge!

Here are players that I believe have some interest and/or visited:

1. Tristan Enaruna (visiting on 4/24) [2019 HS Senior]
2. TJ Holyfield (already visited) [Grad Transfer PF out of SFA]

------------------------------------------------------------------ (Below are players with no visit scheduled, just varying levels of interest)

3. Jordan Brown [Transfer PF/C out of Nevada] - Sit One / Play Three
4. LJ Figueroa [Transfer G out of St. Johns] - Sit One / Play Two
5. Shawn Occeus [Transfer G out of Northeastern] - Sit One / Play One
6. Justice Sueing [Transfer F out of Cal] - Sit One / Play Two
7. Jared Bynum [Transfer PG out of St. Joes] - Sit One / Play Three

Thank you, sir.

If we get Enaruna and Holyfield, do we only have 1 scholarship left?

Yes, we have three left as of today. I doubt we get Holyfield.

Why the doubt? He visited...is the passage of time giving you the feeling that he will not choose UM? Seems like this would be a good situation for him. If we get Enaruna, that is 3 ESPN Top 100 freshmen in the same class. Miami is a great place to live, etc. etc. etc., it just seems like this would be a nice 1-year landing spot for a LOT of guys.

Holyfield is another 6’8 230 lb big. We have 4 guys already who fit that mold in Stone, Sam, Gak, and Anthony Walker. I don’t think they would have taken Stone’s commitment if they felt good about Holyfield.

How does the Portal work in terms of who initially contacts who? Do the coaches sit back and await a call from players in the portal, or are the coaches expected to make first contact? Or both scenarios could happen simultaneously?

In our position, I would surely expect our coaches to be very aggressive in recruiting Portal players.

The weather gods cooperated today. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day outside. Hopefully that helps with Tristan.

Has nothing to do with Miami and more to do with the coaches at Illinois.

Yup, certainly feels like there was 1 spot for a grad transfer stretch 4 , and it went to Stone.
