Anyone catch the 30 minute ESPN thing on Cornhuskers: "Two points, One title". Sad story about how much a man Tom was going for 2 and how great a team they were. Since we were the grim reaper, it was a good watch. Lots of OB plays. That really was one of greatest games I have seen. In the flick, seems like players really wish old Tom just kicked the extra point. It would make a good warm up show for the original The U.

Tom Osborne made one of the great, defining calls in all of college football history.

His players need to stop b*****g.

It took a lot of balls for him to make that call....gotta give credit where credit is due. But with all that being said.....CANES BABY!

**** his players he made the correct call getting a tie and winning a national championship is not winning it going for two was the correct call have to give him credit though tough call but the right call GO FOR THE WIN

Nebraska that year was a big running team, and had run a train on everyone else just to reach that game.

Odd, that they didn't run the ball that play, electing to pass.

Oh, that's right. We almost shut down that vaunted running game.

They beat Jimmy Johnson's Oky St. team 14-10.
