The truth lacks credibility to you?

This is the most racist and hateful country in the history of the world.
Any person in the limelight should be prepared for ignorance. Especially a brown person. You can find racism and death threats toward almost every black entertainer on their social media pages.

This isnt new and it shouldnt be news. Their parents should be preparing them for this type of stuff.
Just like LSU qb, this dude is soft.

this is seriously ignorant as ****. Thank God not everyone is like you or there would never be change.

Why fight our own country for idependace. They have more moeny, power, guns. Why try....

the true words or a soft person. Soft= giving up

What the **** are you blabbing about dude?

Please tell me what good is going to come from these guys telling reporters what mean comments they got on their social media? Seriously. What good can come from it.
Its weak and soft to cry to the media about something so trivial and typical.

These players arent fighting. They are breaking down mentally.
It's only trivial to you and people like you.

Agree with @Canezum5, people really need to grow some and not get hurt or offended at everything. This why america is pussified now. And this national anthem protest needs to stop, if you dont like it here than go to Canada or some other **** hole country

Exactly. So many players throughout the generations went thru waaaaay worse than just some social media comments. Stop being weak. Be a man.

All that kneeling during the anthem is wack and facquity.
Kneel during the anthem but got on a racist designers clothes in the press conference. You look dumb af.

Take your *** somewhere else.

You seem upset. May I offer you an edit to your name: AngryCanezum5......Flows well....

Amidst all the real problems out there, the level of softness, fake outrage and pussification is not helping drive solutions.

So because its not AS bad makes it ok? wow man wow

America is one of the least racist countries. Racism is everywhere. Places like Italy and Argentina are notoriously racist, and blatant. The only thing that separates America from these other countries is the ability to self correct injustices.

It's very difficult when you have sheltered morons, who say it's not that bad, or not as bad as other places, or that its not like the 60s and all the bull, like it's supposed to make you feel better about being called a N!@@er. So because you are not lynched like your ancestors, you're soft for pointing it out and thinking it's a problem. Then you have the marvelous section who says that it doesn't exist......we have a black president.

Link isn't working so here's a breakdown

Slavery in early sub-Saharan Africa took a variety of forms. While most slaves were field workers, some served in royal courts as officials, soldiers, servants and artisans.

Hereditary slavery, extending over several generations, was rare. Under a system known as 'pawnship', young people (usually girls) acted as collateral for their family's debts. If their parents or kin defaulted on these debts, the girls were forced to work to pay them off. In many instances, they eventually married into their owner's lineage and their own family's debt was cancelled.

This system differed from the chattle slavery that developed in the Americas. People were not enslaved because of their ethnicity or culture. It was not about being inferior or having less worth than another person. However, this changed when slave markets were developed as Arabs and Europeans became the main buyers. The transatlantic trade was a demand-driven market, a system that was motivated by commercial incentives.

paksat and Flcanefan you guys are some true idiots.

You post this to discredit me but all it does is prove my point.

Africans did not sell people into chattle slavery. They didnt beleive in it. In african slavery you could become a part of the royal court or become on officer. Its well documented that the Africans did not know these people were going to be treated as cattle and less than human as it wasnt a part of their culture.

So when you say "africans sold their people into slavery" you sound dumb af because those africans were treating people like humans and not 3-5ths of a person.

Youre too racist and stupid to realize this. Its comical that you think one source of information is the end all be all on the subject. There are far more books and research, from real historians and africans, proving this point.

But by all means, your wiki reference is the God. Ill let you continue your racist rant.

The hard truth is nobody is going to respect the BLM movement until they address problems within their own communities first. They need to march in chicago instead of these dumbass statements against saluting the flag.

This guy is piece of **** but the statistics don't lie.

I forgot this dumb section right here. "But what about black on black crime?" Let me educate a little bit. You see poverty and crime, goes hand in hand. Any and every country regardless of racial break down......the poorest sections have the most crime. In America, black people have the highest poverty rate. That's based in the function of where we are coming from, from slavery, being owned, owning nothing, living in squallow. More black people are getting out of poverty, but there is and will be a big section, because as a group you're starting from the basement of society. And alot of the problems come from lack of intelligence, lack of family structure all that people point out. Then I say, look at where black people as a whole are coming from. It's not gonna change over night.

This is a total separate issue from a system targeting, killing and wrongful sentencing and over sentencing of black people for same crimes as other races. One doesn't have anything to do with the other. Because people sit there trying to compare criminals that are killing each other, to innocent people being killed by those sworn to protect them.

Some of y'all are mad dumb.

It's crazy when you have racists on here that doesn't even know that they're racist.... Like to think that they're playing dumb, but I doubt it

This thread delivers!

I'll be right here, in my comfortable leather chair having a nice snack and drinking brandy from my brandy snifter. In other words, enjoying the fruits of my white privilege, while I condescendingly smirk at you over-excited peons.

Again, you do know that this VERY SECOND OF THIS VERY DAY, chattle slavery is a practice in Mauratania.

Of course you do, because I remember you on our team when I was in that country. Sorry I had forgotten that detail.

This right here.... Comparing black on black crime to police officers (who are supposed to protect u) killing unarmed men with their hands up.

Black children in this country are prohibited from going to school, studying, working hard, getting a good job and enjoying life?

News to me!

Thanks for sharing.

Never understood the anger towards this protest! That's their American right to protest. In fact, if we took the right to protest, folks would be ready to start another Civil War, but yet, people are getting death threats because they choose this stance. Amazing! Now, there's some sins this country does have to bear when it comes to race, and it's even more evident now, but at the end of the day, everybody still has a shot to be what the **** they want to be in America. There's some steeper ladders than others, but you still have a shot. Like India, there's reason why they're number 1!

Now, I do think economics and Financial status is more of problem than Racism. You can say they go hand and hand with race, and in some ways it does, but there's poor people across the board in this country. The Wealth gap is crazy stupid.

Agreed with most of this.
The thing about the inner cities their kids grow up with no hope. You take away a mans hope and this is what happens. I def don't have the answers on how to fix this problem but in my opinion that's a key contributing factor.

I grew up in the inner city and been working with inner city kids for quite some time. Poor white people, poor black, poor Spanish people have way more in common than their rich counterparts, but the powers to be has brainwashed people to think this group is better than this group, and etc. LOL, yall still broke as **** and struggling the same way. Hope is free, to feel hopeless takes group effort, reinforced by the people who surround yourself with.\

I've seen it all! Folks can disagree with the protest, that's their right, but to restrict it, or punish someone for protesting is probably the most Un-American thing possible. The right to dissent is the backbone of this country.

Since this thread is approaching total derailment of a Canes football topic...

BREAKING NEWS...

LSU hires Fisher...
FSU steals away RICHT...UM Pres Frenk named interim HC...
Saban leaves Bama to start coaching the Central Michigan Interpretative Dance Team...

its all true.

Peaceful protesting is fine.

Civil disturbance and rioting is not.

Killem. Dudes actually believe these overblown racist statistics. Blacks dont even make up enough of the population for these statistics to be accurate. Furthermore, police patrol and target black neighborhoods more than any other so i would expect the numbers to be a lil skewed.

Then you have the simple fact that the department of justice doesnt keep these sorts of records and the FBI files are a compromise of information expected from every police precint in the nation. My uncle whose been in law enforcement for over 20 years in illinois, maryland, and virginia will tell you that most precints can barely keep an accurate bookeeping let alone send accurate crime stats to the FBIs composite.

But closet racist love hiding behind this unsubstantiated crap to try to get people to believe blacks are some evil vile people **** bent on staying in the slums.

I agree with everyone being too sensitive part.
However, part of the "pussification" that's going on are people making harsh comments to/at individuals behind the comfy confines of their computer screen. I would bet that a particular post above would never be repeated to this players face.

The point went completely over your head. Not sure if you've work with inner city kids, but the things you mention is the least of their worries. Eating, coming home safe, having a school book to take home to even studying.

That my friend is called privilege in what you're displaying.
