Their o-line 3 quarters thru that game...

They have lost 5 times at home under Freeman. Last year they were breaking in a new DC and QB. This will be a tough game that we can win. I have been making early wagers +6.5 and ML, my guess is we are + 3.5 at Kickoff.
 
People keep underrating how well they’ll adapt without the best RB duo in the country. CJ Carr doesn’t have a proven elite run game to lean on anymore.
 
I think the run game will be just fine. Love and Price are better than any backs they have, but all their backs are NFL quality. The biggest reason for run game optimism is people that have been covering the program for a long time think this is will be their best line since the Joe Moore days. Huge and athletic. Definitely upgraded from last season. We shall see.

You have a RSFR starting LT and return 4 other guys. no?
 
Many guys were out of position last year. Knapp is definitely a stud guard that was trying to play tackle. He is a beast at guard, not great in space because his lack of length. Will Black will be way better in pass pro, but maybe not run blocking at first.

Black is an extremely athletic 6'7 335 pound tackle with great feet. Kid ran a 4.85 at that size. Thats crazy.

Ashton Craig at center was out from a torn ACL, he should be back and graded out as their highest lineman when healthy. He is very good.

Lambert played guard for them and was a 5 star recruit himself. He was a tackle playing guard, though. He is huge and long also. He improved a lot as the season progressed, but now he is in his rightful spot as tackle. He is a massive upgrade over Wagner at RT. Absher is another 330+ pounder at guard. Honestly, I would prefer Jagasah, but he is still out. Absher is being pushed by Matty Augustine, a talented sophomore that is making noise.

Recall how great the ND OL was in 2017 and we manhandled them. I expect similar.

LOL. So NDs problem was everyone played out of position? Seems odd that domers had a guard playing tackle and a tackle playing guard. You can come up with a better excuse than that
