ND TAMU

There goes our marquee win
No. A 1 point loss by ND doesn't change our win. If ND won, all they would have is the Texas A&M win. That's all they had last year and went to the CFP. So, our win against them is bigger than their win against A&M last year or this year had ND won.

ND will win the rest of their games and be ranked 12-15 , but won't make the CFP. A 9-3 SEC or B1G teams will get in before them. They really have no chance to get in.

The ACC could get 3 teams this year. We beat FSU. FSU beats Clemson, and GT already beat Clemson and doesn't play Miami or FSU.

DONT STRESS THE “AT LARGE BID” BS….IF 0-1 ND CAN MOVE UP A SPOT FROM 9 TO 8 ON A FU@KIN’ BI-WEEK…BEING 0-2 NOW, THEY’RE SURE TO STILL BE IN THE TOP 10 WHEN THE POLLS COME OUT NEXT WEEK 🙄

Exactly. The morale of the Miami-ND story is we should have been passing in the secong half. The vaunted ND seconday story is simply BS.

They were hugging our WRs all game and the refs called 1 PI. Was less about the "vaunted def" and more about not being able to get separation due to constant holding

Win the conference? We could lose one conference game and not make the title game. Have people seen GT’s schedule. Pitt is the hardest game they have left….and Pitt just lost to West Virginia. The strength of everyone’s conference schedule is not the same. This isn’t the old days where you play everyone on your side.
you are aware that as good as Key is against ranked teams he's completely mediocre against non ranked ACC teams so just penciling them into an undefeated ACC season is some laying it on heavy for this doom angle you're going for.

Even if GT goes undefeated in ACC play, I don’t see any other ACC team going undefeated, so that just means we would play GT in the ACCCG if we lost one game in ACC play.

Worst case scenario of course. We need to just win out in ACC play.

I’m saying we have zero room for error. We’re not a Big 10 or SEC school. That’s a lot of pressure because our schedule isn’t easy. It’s actually really ******* hard. 7 straight conference games to end the year, with the last two being on the road. We ***** up once, we’re in trouble, especially if we lose to FSU and they hold the tiebreaker against us.

Canes fans rooting for ND 😂

You are painting a picture that isnt reality yet and all on pure guesswork.

Also lets say you're right what would you like Miami to do about it?

This is a dumb argument to have after Week 3.
I don’t want them to do anything. We can’t change results. But when people say — so definitively — it doesn’t matter, they are revealing a lack of foresight.

I’m not saying we need to cheerlead the ACC or ND, but it makes our lives easier when they win.

Unless GT are playing St Mary's School for the Blind until December they won't go undefeated.

They're not that good.

Agree. I think they drop one. Just pointing out worst case scenario, which doesn’t exclude us from ACCCG.
I don’t see FSU going undefeated in ACC play. That’s in our hands.

It’s game three and Haynes king looks like he’s held together silly putty and wishful thinking.

I agree. A bunch of SEC teams are mid and will have similar records.

Miami life is easier when they just take care of their business and that's all that matters. Also with a **** schedule last year losing once didn't cost Miami anything. They still controlled their own destiny for the playoff and the ACCCG after losing to GT even with Clemson and SMU having easy ACC schedules. It was losing a second time to a mid ACC team while blowing a 21 point lead in their last game. So Miami finished the season losing 2 of their last 3 and had the media stigma that they realistically could have had 4 losses without some referee magic (total bs). Even with all that they still had a punchers chance for an at large bid. So this prognosticating you are doing in week 3 is really meaningless.

People don’t see the bigger picture and that’s a shame.
I respect either rooting for SOS or against ND but this Canes team can legit win the title so I am not tryna **** around and miss out, because the voters aren't gonna cater to us the way they catered to Ohio State last year (who by the way won the title with the same amount of regular season Ls that got Miami left out of the playoffs).
