Quality loss is some Orwellian double-speak that is only okay within the ethos of college football; usually, to justify granting some SEC team or Notre Dame access to a playoff spot or bowl game.

The CFP committee made it an emphasis for 2025 that good wins outweigh bad losses. We'll see if that holds true on the final rankings.
