Look at what they're practicing in all week.

The weather angle is way overstated. People were saying the same thing before Michigan State came to town in 2021 and look what happened.
That game was indeed ridiculously hot. (And I'm a Miami native that generally does not care about the heat.)

But, anyways, that's not a great example. They just whooped us. What the heat does is it makes you question yourself when things aren't going your way. In a hypothetical world where ND plays 2 games in the exact same weather, if they jump on us and whoop us the heat ain't a thing; but if we whoop 'em, they'll say it was the hottest they've ever been.

Not even 150 degree heat could’ve stopped our safeties from tackling each other. But it’s only overstated when the teams aren’t equal, if they’re equal it makes a difference. Similar to HFA.

It’s an advantage, not a substitute for a good team.

There’s a reason the OB holds both the College and NFL home winning streaks. And while both were dominant teams, they’re have been plenty of dynasties that couldn’t do it, even with weaker schedules.

Well said.

If it was a noon game you would have a point … but at 7:30pm they will be fine
I don't necessarily agree. I mean, it's likely better for ND at 7:30 than noon but it's still hot. I went to the Coldplay concert the other night. I wasn't in pads or exercising and we were all sweating bullets. It gets muggy and nasty in there. I'm no meteorologist but there isn't much air flow in the stadium. I walked out to the concourse at one point to catch a breeze.

I agree ! I moved my seats from lower bowl to the upper bowl simply because it’s to **** hot down there with no breeze! Up top you can feel some wind.

The kool aid has permeated everyone’s pores and brain cells.
I too see the weather as being a factor.
But it will only be a factor if we take a big early lead.

If they go up by 10 for whatever reason even a turnover, the hype and adrenaline will not let the heat bother them.
However, If we go up by 10 the heat factor will be more palpable and the worrying and pressure will start to choke them out.

Remember when Michigan state came into town for an afternoon game and were running over our d line in the 4th quarter.

The heat will only be an issue if we put the pressure on them.
But if it’s a tight back and forth game it will be irrelevant imo

Michigan state proved it. Yes our team was cheeks back then but heat was not a factor.

Stuffing them and getting a nice lead makes some dudes start feeling all poopy pants and feeling sorry for themselves. It happens even when it’s not hot. But that heat while losing and hearing the crowd all up in your helmet is gonna hit way different.
