ND is going to melt.

Everyone in that building is going to melt.

There's zero air flow in HRS. The humidity in the building will be in the 90's.
Add 65,000 bodies at 1,000 BTU per, that's 65 million humididious BTU's heating the place up...

and that's all good with me.

Ah, but some of us can head down to the North sideline club...

Turns out FAMU has a game at Hard Rock Saturday at 4:00pm in the pouring rain. Hope the field is fine for Sunday…

There will also be a Formula 1 race on the field at 9 am, followed by a Dolphins practice on the field at noon. There will be tennis matches on the field beginning at 7 pm.

Everything will be fine...

I don't necessarily agree. I mean, it's likely better for ND at 7:30 than noon but it's still hot. I went to the Coldplay concert the other night. I wasn't in pads or exercising and we were all sweating bullets. It gets muggy and nasty in there. I'm no meteorologist but there isn't much air flow in the stadium. I walked out to the concourse at one point to catch a breeze.

Weather is definitely going to play a factor. Idc how hot the “Midwest Summer” was this year. Miami in August is Different.

Dude you understand that the humidity in the Midwest will rival Florida in the summer? It has cooled off this week and has been in the high 80’s low 90’s most of the summer.

Today for example Miami is at 72% humidity in Indianapolis it’s 67%.

Nobody is saying it’s hotter year round but, the idea that Miami is the only place in the country that deals with heat and humidity is absurd. Where it becomes a factor is later in the year. Much like when Miami travels to Pitt in November.

Highs don’t mean much, nor does humidity without heat.

Indianapolis has a high of 73 today with a low of 51.
Once the sun starts going down in the upper Midwest, the temps drop.

Miami will still be in the 80’s at 8pm with the humidity.

Yes and it's more Humid at night than during the day. Most people don't understand this.

The weather angle is way overstated. People were saying the same thing before Michigan State came to town in 2021 and look what happened.

idiots on here think College Station Texas is in the North?

Notre Dame walked into Texas A&M and beat them down last year in the opening game in August!

The weather is a factor. It’s not THE only factor. It’s not going to make a 7 win Miami team better than an 11 win Michigan State team. No home field advantage is so good that it makes bad teams better than good teams.

As for humidity at night, Miami summer nights are unlike anywhere else in the country. It may get hot as **** during the day in some places but usually at night time it cools down into the 70’s at least. When I lived in Orlando, day time temps were much worse but night time was way cooler. In South Florida, it’s still 84 at 11pm. In a close, tough game, it could definitely play into the outcome.

Idiots would think that weather would be enough of a factor. for an 8-5 team to beat the national runner up

Miami is 16-6 all time at Pittsburgh. Cold weather can affect games but not when one team is much better than the other.

TA&M was saying the same thing last season and by middle of the third quarter they were getting their asses handed to them physically. Heat was not an issue. Freeman is a good coach he'll have their team ready.

Just a FYI, & I can’t take credit for this, but I will give credit where credit is due:

It was brought to my attention by Mr @Angry Ibis that ND has not beat our Miami Hurricanes at home since 1977.

12/3/1977 @ the beloved & famed OB, ND beat us 10-48.
Since then:

11/27/1981 @ The OB: 37-15
9/24/1983 @ The OB: 20-0
11/30/1985 @ The OB: 58-7
11/28/1987 @ The OB: 24-0 (the day I became a fan)
11/25/1989 @ The OB: 27-10
11/11/2017 @ HRS: 41-8

Let’s keep this streak active

ND will be fine in the weather. We’ve had a brutally hot summer in Indiana where the heat and humidity exceeded that of Miami. For weeks at a time. Probably the hottest summer here in 10-15 years on record.
Dude, STFU, it’s hot at 84 degrees. Please, I walk my dogs at 430a, before work, it’s 84 degrees. That’s our starting point. Heat and humidity goes up from there. It’s been Africa hot in SOFLA this summer. Not saying it gonna effect the game, but please Mr Weatherby stfu with what yall don’t know.

My daughter was in tennis camp for a month in south Florida from 7 am - 430 pm every day

When she came back to Atlanta and was going to tennis camp in Atlanta and it was blazing hot she asked why it was so cold versus south Florida.

She's very attuned to the weather and was playing tennis outside all day both areas - it is different in a tropical/subtropical environment vs even Hotlanta
