Look at what they're practicing in all week.
Maybe the worst tackling performance in football historyThe weather angle is way overstated. People were saying the same thing before Michigan State came to town in 2021 and look what happened.
No we warmup indoor and then move the majority of the practice outdoor. It seems like at least 50% of the time, the Canes practice indoors anyway. Not sure it is as much of an advantage as it has been in the past.
That game was indeed ridiculously hot. (And I'm a Miami native that generally does not care about the heat.)The weather angle is way overstated. People were saying the same thing before Michigan State came to town in 2021 and look what happened.
We’ve been using it as a coping mechanism hoping it will help us win for the past 15 years. The weather angle is way overstated. People were saying the same thing before Michigan State came to town in 2021 and look what happened.
Not even 150 degree heat could’ve stopped our safeties from tackling each other. But it’s only overstated when the teams aren’t equal, if they’re equal it makes a difference. Similar to HFA.The weather angle is way overstated. People were saying the same thing before Michigan State came to town in 2021 and look what happened.
It’s an advantage, not a substitute for a good team. The weather angle is way overstated. People were saying the same thing before Michigan State came to town in 2021 and look what happened.
Well said. That game was indeed ridiculously hot. (And I'm a Miami native that generally does not care about the heat.)
But, anyways, that's not a great example. They just whooped us. What the heat does is it makes you question yourself when things aren't going your way. In a hypothetical world where ND plays 2 games in the exact same weather, if they jump on us and whoop us the heat ain't a thing; but if we whoop 'em, they'll say it was the hottest they've ever been.
Its more humid at night. If it was a noon game you would have a point … but at 7:30pm they will be fine
I don't necessarily agree. I mean, it's likely better for ND at 7:30 than noon but it's still hot. I went to the Coldplay concert the other night. I wasn't in pads or exercising and we were all sweating bullets. It gets muggy and nasty in there. I'm no meteorologist but there isn't much air flow in the stadium. I walked out to the concourse at one point to catch a breeze. If it was a noon game you would have a point … but at 7:30pm they will be fine

It cooled down this week but it’s been what feels like 90 everyday for months now.The Midwest had a hot summer. Anyone who thinks ND is gonna struggle with the Miami weather needs to get their heads checked.
