FIVE NCs in NINE Years (not to mention pretty much contending in every year they didn't win it all) will hopefully scare enough of these college presidents/conference commissioners, to overule Nicky's buddy Marky Mark and get at least this small measure of reform done.

Unlike the entry salary dispute qouted, this would clearly be a case of big $$$ schools against the rest of the P5 and may decide the future of CFB; hopefully before Emmert finishes plowing into the iceberg.

The committee also gave Bama a pretty big advantage by letting them in the tournament with a bye the week before. Can’t underestimate the advantage of the week off. Also Georgia had to play that conference title game and then go out west for the first game of the playoff whole bama got to stay close.

That’s fine and all but Georgia already copied it. Ohio State is too. Very few programs can even remotely operate at that level.

No disagreement there, but the article addresses that BIG and other rich $EC programs, along with the not mentioned Clemson, would live by these rules on "consultants" in addition to 'Bama. The article addressed Alabama because they are the worst "offender" when it comes to this practice.

You have to start somewhere, though I am sure Emmert is thinking about how he will block this from happening.

Would be huge in restoring some parity back into college football

Instead of others raising their game, or admitting they’re incompetent and dropping down to FCS - which is what they should do, you have millionaire coaches and cowardly fans/alumni advocating for success to be throttled. Regulating excellence. And here’s the crazy part: these are supposed to be institutions of higher learning.

A lot of this “staff” doesn’t cost Alabama a dime, but it should be stopped? Other teams can’t find volunteers? ****, this site has people doing the same for NOTHING.

I suppose other fans were saying that same nonsense when Miami was dominating but…<sigh>…I just never thought the wussification would contaminate Miami’s fanbase. I stand corrected.

Anyway, I hope the NCAA doesn’t change a thing and instead weeds out the weaker schools who don’t want to compete; or, the schools that want, and are able to compete, breakaway from the NCAA, so they don’t have to deal with the crybabies.

Their staff doesn't cost a dime?

Sigh

Dumber things are said on here but that's towards the top.

Dumber is not realizing that a lot of their “staff” is volunteers. Wait! I said that already. Yes, your comment is definitely near the top. Thanks for topping me.

You’re projecting again. Oh well. I did say there was a certain type of fan that/alumni that supported this kind of regulation.

If you honestly think Alabama's resources are similar to Miami's stop posting and start reading more.

The level of ignorance your showing is killing brain cells.

Like it or not, Saban is going down as the greatest head coach of all time. Whining to the NCAA is not going to change a thing because almost every college coach is dirty.

No Fake Yahweh, tIn 1991 they instituted new NCAA rules, known colloquially as "Miami Rules" which were designed to rip the cultural heart out of Miami's style of play, AKA "in your face, ***** you s and Woody, Bo, and Tom." That's wussification, Moron.

Only a welfare recipient would believe that Miami and Alabama HAVE TO HAVE similar resources and that would lead to similar outcomes. The schools that can’t compete can always quit FBS and go to FCS.

*and I think you meant you’re or you are, but...since all your posts have been a broadcast announcement of what you accuse me of...I wouldn’t expect less.

If you're going by sentence grammar whatever was going on in that second one defeats your entire premise.

Honestly stop typing at this point.

You really think Miami utilizing the resources Alabama has at its disposal wouldn't change a thing? Simply question yes or no? F**k it, it's a rhetorical question because your dumbass will comeback with some slick response not founded in reality.

I bet you believe the Earth is flat too, don't you?

Always with the name calling...and being dead wrong. You made an *** of yourself in your education thread and now going 2-2 in the football thread. That’s great work...well, actually it’s acutely moronic, but you can’t do better. I get it. Your highlight actually proved my point, but again, I don’t expect reasonable thought from you.

Earth flat? You’re doing your best to change the subject.

Newsflash: equal resources don’t mean equal results.

Bonus: superior resources don’t mean superior results.

Regulations = wussification

Is it possible to start a gofundme account to have Tetra sterilized?

Procreation should not be an option for him.

Listen, Hegemon, you should be able to write a check for that; you shouldn’t have to solicit funds... My bad; that’s if you have it and maybe you don’t. So...you don’t got it? Need a loan?

One of your many problems is that you have a massive inferiority complex. First, it was the following ridiculous thread where you were roundly pilloried by nearly every sane poster. https://www.canesinsight.com/thread/ot-stanfords-academic-narrative/128643

You called everyone names in that thread, too, iirc.

And, now it’s a world where Miami doesn’t have to get serious about excellence to be...well...excellent.

Bama is beatable. Yes, even with their army of consultants and staff and coaches, etc.
