Gut tells that this wasn’t a compliance meeting. It was “Dude how do we fix this?” kind of “compliance” meeting. BTW bravo by him for the recent rounds on Finebaum and this. He’s trying to give UM the edge by removing the boosters funding NIL through the same ways they were paying for dudes under the table. Either its a business or it’s illegal. All the ******** in the south would pucker.

I’ll tell you why.

Because in today’s world of instant gratification social media, a vacuum is abhorred. It’s one big empty bag waiting to be filled with misinformation and misdirection from rivals and haters.

Personally, while I would tighten up his communication style, I’m just talking about style, he needs to keep doing what he’s doing. Otherwise people will fill that vacuum bag of “silence“ with their own bullshlt - and many will believe it. Get your fūcking story out there, I say.

After watching John manhandle that human ***** Paul Finebum, I'm completely onboard with him giving official interviews to legitimate sports news outlets.

Miami's success has a ripple effect. I can't stand Finebum, but he's a salesman. If we're winning, he'll encourage our callers because he knows it'll rile up his Baga base.

Going back and forth with fans makes a man of his position look bad. It’s as cringey as Trump was on Twitter. Stopping that was smart.

But he made it known that Miami is a player in the nil game AND got Lifewallet much more publicity. If he chooses to pipe down now, cool. But I doubt he was afraid of the NCAA and had plans to deal with any moves they made.

Even now, what is the NCAA going to do? Punish us for rules that don’t exist? Create a “cloud” investigating rules that don’t exist? They don’t want to see Ruiz in court.

Even if Ruiz was moving with Illuminati secrecy, the ncaa would still be sniffing around because we are now players for so many National recruits. Nothing was going to stop that.

USC formed a new collective, & somehow got a fluff piece article in the Athletic about “this is how it should be done” because Beats by Dre is a sponsor getting “real” advertising or whatever.

Not sure how that advertising is different than what LifeWallet is doing. There is no difference at all, as far as I can see.
