NCAA Meets with Ruiz to discuss NIL deals

Can the ncaa even do anything?? I thought they had zero power over this stuff but I also said from the start Ruiz talked to much. This is on him so I hope Miami has things buttoned up.

Still ridiculous they don’t go after the collectives at FSU and crap Texas and A&M are doing
No. It's a battle they can't win. They will bankrupt themselves with attorney's fees trying to fight dudes like Ruiz. They're finished.

There really is not the anything the NCAA can do, at least not to Ruiz and UM who made sure they were following the letter of the rule.
I can’t speak to collectives, or how an individual state law might provide schools in that state with broader pover than the NCAA intended. But as to Ruiz and UM, the NCAA is down and out
Lol you beat me to it.

Don't try to get a class-action lawyer into court against you. Just don't.
It depends. If the class isn't certified, the fees are astronomical for the other side (unfortunately it would take forever and a day to recover).

Lol Saban literally said *** to Mouth paid for their recruiting class.

*crickets from NCAA*

They can’t intimidate anyone but they might think they are.

I realize you have to be selective with your wording for obvious reasons regarding recruiting. Just trying to put all the puzzle pieces together to get the whole story with the Rashada recruitment. As I said I wasn't invested too much into it after seeing how him and his parents were handling his recruitment. My main concern is how us passing on him effects the rest of the offensive skill players decisions.

I'd go as far as saying, they asked Ruiz about NIL collectives and law issues. I would not be surprised if they did that.
It’s common sense. Miami has been one of the poster children of the new Nil. Media, fans and coaches have been crying , then mix in it’s Miami. It’s just that simple people. The Ncaa showed up and sniffed around and likely wanted to see how we were running shop.
