NCAA looking to end targeting carry over and end “Short Shorts”

Targeting needs to be level 1 and level 2.
If level 2 is the more serious and dangerous type of targeting, I haven't seen one of those in several years. I can't remember the last time I saw a defender intentionally lead with the crown of his helmet directly into the head area of another player. All these stupid targeting calls are basically level 1, yet players are getting ejected from the game and suspended for the first half of the next game if the targeting occurred in the 2nd half. It's the most retarded rule and punishment in all of sports.

Usually we’re on the same page, but I’m tired of seeing kids were biker shorts on the field.
Personally, I’m not a fan of the short shorts that OJ wears. I just don’t care enough. Same with the kids that roll up the shirts to show off the abs.

I don’t like either change, I have no problem with the shorts length. For the targeting carry over, it 100% makes sense if it is a legit malicious targeting. The problem is we boot the player for weak targeting, the change should be to implement a flagrant system that axes 50+% of targeting suspensions in the first place.

How about instituting the NFL 35-yard extra point kick?

I thought it was one of the better special team rules the NFL changed in the last number of years. It’s increases the chance of a miss which can potentially affect the game. All of which I am in favor of.

Focusing about shorts lol.

How about focusing on referee uniformity of rule interpretations, referree enforcement, etc. **** that actually matters.

Idgaf what shorts someone wears

Agreed. Let’s institute a new rule, where if a ref gets a call wrong, he is suspended without pay for 1 game + a fine. Watch how fast these college refs make sure they don’t **** up. Such BS that a ref can make the wrong call with 0 consequences. Just like the wrong call have have a detrimental affect on a program, make the refs have some skin in the game
