The long pants existed to protect the knees. I don’t see the point, if a kid needs to protect his knee he is going to wear a brace. Let them have shorts

I like both proposals, especially the first one with those stupid suspensions, sidelining fb players on what is already short time of eligibility.
Following a reasonable uniform dress code does not seem like a high bar... targeting suspensions are absurd.

I'm old skool I guess, bring back the pants, the short shorts was getting a little NY state of mindish IYKYK

I'm old school as well. The shortened pants seem a little ridiculous. A cross between 7v7 shorts vs Pride Day at the Village.

It reminds me of the sports bra looking undershirt worn by male soccer players.

If a young man makes the decision to wear less padding with a greater risk of injury that's his choice.

The targeting rule as it stands is absurd. Either incorporate a major and minor infraction or a suspension level structure. Something like first upheld targeting foul is only a 15 yard penalty, second is an ejection from the current game, and so on...

I genuinely can’t imagine giving a **** about the length of pants someone is wearing on a football field.

I wish they would institute the KOR rule in the NFL or something to bring back returns bc every kicker is getting touch backs these days

They should ban cutting the pants, but also offer them in a slightly shorter length for guys who want them above the knee.
