Thank god NCAA Football is coming back to consoles next summer before next season starts.

With the way it's currently looking, unless TVD is back or we somehow beat Pitt 3-0 next weekend, we've got one last game with this team before the season is up and the release of the next college football game

I wonder what the overrall of this team will be and how many teams like MTSU, APP, UCF, etc will be ranked ahead of us.

I say because of our brand recognition, they'll have us middle of the pack power 5 and behind clemson, FSU, and UNC as we should be in the ACC

What do you guys think?

I don't think they will call it NCAA.
But I am pumped for this. I'm playing the revamped NCAA 14 on my PS3. Still better than Madden 23.

Well on the bright side we can bring back The U on the new NCAA. I rarely play video games anymore and I’m thinking of buying a PS5 for this sole purpose
I bought series x the second the news that this game was coming back. not a big video game guy but childhood nostalgia and new generation graphics of playing with the canes has me VERY excited

well that and the new 75' frame tv I bought

I'm just not pumped about it on this frostbite engine. The infinity engine was excellent for NCAA 14 and Madden 25. Too many unnecessary glitches with the frostbite.

But, it's CFB. And I prefer that anyway. I inky played Madden to see how my college players did in the pros, anyway. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Would be funny if the game was super realistic and when you played as UM, every time you picked an offensive play, the team would rush up to the line and the QB would look to the sidelines. Then you'd have to pick another offensive play and would only be able to snap the ball with 1 or 2 seconds on the play clock. Also the game could randomly burn your timeouts.

I never played with UM, even when we were good on the PS2 versions. I liked the potential challenge of playing against them.

I ran into the Canes a few times, once in the natty game. They were always loaded and fast, basically the opposite of what they are now.

This year’s Madden is solid.
I agree. this year is the first madden I've purchased since the last generation of consoles and I'm not sure what people expect in terms of improvements on a year to year basis but coming from xbox one to xbox series x and these new graphics - this madden is great

just like with the new college football game - it'll be the first on in a decade so honestly anything they throw out there will be great in my eyes

say what ya want about madden but NCAA was always great

at least in my eyes

It's subjective. I thought that 03 and, specifically, 04 were great. But, 05 was so bad that I didn't touch the game again until 2009 on the 360. That game was also terrible. That's when EA introduced "wide open gameplay". Honestly, it was worse than it was on the PS2.

By 14, the series was headed in a decent direction, but it still lacked the magic that it had on the PS2/Xbox.

As for the upcoming game, my enthusiasm fluctuates between 'can't wait' and ' Yeah, but it's EA'.

We'll see.

Last great madden was 2008.
All of these "new features" were already in the game.

IN 2008.

EA are frauds. They only care about parents pockets buying their kids MUT cards.

The devs who work on Madden care deeply about the game and would like to vastly remake it. However, they're hamstrung by the higher ups who want the game to cater to casual fans and be filled with micro transactions.

As an aside, many members of the Madden community are absolute losers. Guys have actually sent death threats to Madden devs. Seriously.

Lousy franchise with an even worse fan base.

Yeah, my experience is a lot like yours. 04 was the best version I think. 2005 had serious issues with passing iirc. I had the most fun in 2006 probably despite the flaws, maybe where I was in life.

The next Gen versions in 2009 or whenever were awful. I sat out a number of years but 2014 was a really good game. And it’s still good via Revamped.

I’m looking forward to this and will try to play the heck out of it. I have major concerns though because the card games have really caused other modes in sports games to take a dive imo.
