NC Game attendance

All of these stories about the massive IU alumni base are wild to me. I live in Illinois, and I haven’t run across a huge number of IU grads. ****, I know way more Iowa, Missouri, and Purdue alums.

I’m leaning towards buying behind the Indiana bench on the 50. Prices are lower
me and my pops was talking about this in section 318 ( where our season ticket seats are) its 4.5K right now for seats. on the other side its 3.5K im like is it worth the whole extra 1K to sit on Miami sideline ? or should be just be in the building supporting our canes ? lol

It’s going to be similar to Cotton Bowl. One thing for sure, Indiana definitely had home field advantage in the Peach. They won’t here. Miami dealt with ATM and did fine. This game is going to come down to the teams on the field. Although if Miami can get this thing rolling early and sustain it, then I can see home field advantage becoming a huge problem for IU.

No, the Cotton Bowl didn't sell 1/3 of its tickets largely to people from South Florida, as the CFP/Orange Bowl Committee did.

What really happened is that a bunch of aTm fans bought the NON-allotment Cotton Bowl tickets, and then dumped them after aTm lost. That's what destroyed the secondary market pricing for any UM or Ohio State fans who needed to sell some of their allotted tickets.

In order for Indiana to even reach 50-50, or a "majority" of the crowd, they will need to buy 15-20 K of the NON-allotted tickets, plus hold onto (without scalping to local Miami fans) their entire allotment.

Buy up any available Indiana tix, particularly if they are $1K cheaper than the same tix in the Miami section.

Then, either Indiana fans will need to pay an EXTRA price premium to get into the game, or else there will be an eventual price reduction by Miami scalpers, which should also allow some last minute Miami fans to make it into the game more cheaply, since they won't need to book a flight or a hotel.

Win-win-win!

That makes sense. I didn’t realize there were 20k non allotted. On the podcast today they agreed with you. It will likely be 60-40 Miami. That would be awesome.

It is ROUGHLY:

20K UM allotment
20K IU allotment
25K locals/corps/sponsors/VIP allotment

And at every other bowl game ever, it's more "locals" that get that larger allocation, whether they have to pay for it (fans who bought Orange Bowl/CFP tickets long before teams were announced) or whether they get the tix for free (locals who work for local corporations and sponsors).

This map is from TicketMaster. You be the judge.

The five club sections in the 200s level on the "away" side were not available to UM or Indiana allotments.

The tickets that were sold to Orange Bowl attendees, corporations, sponsors, and VIPs are "selling the most".

The Indiana allotment sections are running 2nd.

The Miami allotment sections are barely selling.

Looks like you drew someone bent over spreading cheeks, bruv. Got the lines over the b-hole and everything.

Not trying to stir up a fight, I just used the TicketBastard site because that is where our tickets first appear (via the CFBPlayoff app).

And they are now in our accounts. At least mine are.
Are you seeing your tickets in the CFP app? I went to Ticketmaster and it sent me there, but I can’t fully see my tickets in the CFP app yet. It’s sort of greyed out. But I do see the tickets in my account in my order history now, so maybe I should just wait.
