There were 4? Orange Bowls from '83-'94 where this happened. The team will be in it's own locker room but the fiesta bowl winner is designated for the sun side(if the game was during the day)/road sideline. I don't think the team was ever on the road team side in those past Orange Bowls.

Orange which makes sense because you wouldn’t want a stadium of red and white because that would be Indiana colors. Want the Orange and Red to clash.
